The Nest Box Our multi-species nest box offers market leading quality & value for your money. This birdbox has been hand built in our own workshops from high grade Western Red Cedar (sourced from well managed forests) & follows guidelines suggested by the RSPB & British Trust for Ornithology (BTO). This nest box has a removable front panel with a 32mm entrance hole making it suitable for the widest range of garden birds including: Blue Tits Coal Tits Marsh Tits Great Tits House Sparrows Robins (with the front panel removed) Wrens You may read in various publications that the entrance hole must be a particular size to attract a specific species of bird (eg. 25mm for Blue Tits etc). However, these are purely guidelines & our experience has shown (incl consultation with the RSPB for supply of their branded kit) that a 32mm hole will not deter Blue Tits, or any of the other small hole nesting garden birds. Using a 32mm hole could maximise the chances of a pair of birds nesting in the box. 32mm & 28mm hole protector plates are supplied to help deter predators. This camera nest box has been designed with a small sliding drawer in the apex of the birdbox roof to house the camera & its connections. A quick release camera mounting bracket is also fitted to hold the camera in the optimum position. The camera can quickly be accessed & moved between flyonthewall nest boxes if desired. The Camera

Specification & exacting standards. The camera used in this kit is one of our HIGRESOLUTION 650TVL (TV Lines) CCD type cameras. This will produce great colour images during daylight hours only. This bird box camera also benefits from a highly sensitive microphone so you can hear as well as see what is going on inside the box. The camera has a 3.6mm lens & a 92 degree viewing angle. The lens will have been pre-focused to the correct position but it can very easily be adjusted to suit different applications. The Rest Of The System Consists of professional x 3 core cable (Audio/ Video/12v DC) connected to the camera in the roof of the nest box at one end, whilst the other end of the cable needs to be routed into your property. The connectors are black, yellow & white. The black one is for power & connects to the 12V DC power adaptor supplied (looks like a mobile phone charger). This plugs into a mains socket. The remaining yellow (video) & white (audio) connectors can either plug into a spare AV/AUX socket on your TV, video / DVD recorder, or a spare scart socket using the supplied scart adaptor. Switch on the 12v mains adaptor, then select the appropriate AV channel on your TV, sit back & wait for the show to start!
