This superb little camera puts you right up close & means that you can study the characteristics of garden birds like you have never seen before. This high quality mini video camera produces clear colour images during daylight hours & there is also a built in microphone so you can hear as well as see whats going on. Supplied with a Niger seed feeder to get you started but you can use with your existing seed/nut feeders too! (recommended max length of feeder 450mm). This bird camera kit can also be set-up closer to the ground next to all sorts of feed so you can observe ground feeding birds & mammals! Specification & exacting standards. The camera used in this kit is one of our HIGH RESOLUTION 650TVL (TV Lines) CCD type cameras. This will produce great colour images during daylight hours only. This feeder camera also benefits from a highly sensitive microphone so you can hear as well as see what is going on. The camera has a 3.6mm lens & a 92 degree viewing angle. The lens will have been pre-focused to the correct position but it can very easily be adjusted to suit different Seed feeders or other applications. The Rest Of The System Consists of professional x 3 core cable (Audio/ Video/12v DC) connected to the camera inside the View Cam housing at one end, whilst the other end of the cable needs to be routed into your property. The connectors are black, yellow & white. The black one is for power & connects to the 12V DC power adaptor supplied (looks like a mobile phone charger). This plugs into a mains socket. The remaining yellow (video) & white (audio) connectors can either plug into a spare AV/AUX socket on your TV, video / DVD recorder, or a spare scart socket using the supplied scart adaptor. Switch on the 12v mains adaptor, then select the appropriate AV channel on your TV, sit back & wait for the show to start! If you do not have this connection or you plan to use a laptop we recommend using one of our Video to USB (Universal Serial Bus) adaptors. All you need is a spare USB (Universal Serial Bus) socket, software is supplied to get you started with live viewing, manual recording & movie making.
