This tall rounded planter with handles tell stories of classical grace & elegance. Hand made in the Mediterranean theme & aged to look as though it was pulled from the depths of the Lost Civilisation of Atlantis, this planter would be ideal as the highlight in a modern, minimalist design, or as a little mystery tucked away in a rustic cottage garden. This planter is named after Plato, a great philosopher of the ancient world & the creator of the Atlantis myth. Plato writes of Atlantis through the perspectives of his characters Socrates, Timaeus & Critias. The misinterpretation of these works as a historical chronicle rather than a political allegory has lead many scholars & historians to believe that there may once have been a technologically advanced civilisation somewhere in the ancient world that was destroyed by a natural disaster. Some have suggested that they have found evidence to support this. Whatever the truth may be, the story of Atlantis is one that has inspired hearts & minds for generations & will continue to do so. These are handmade & fired in a brick kiln wilth wood, as such there will be some variation in colour & finish.
