Uyaku: Natural molecules extracted from the root of the plant Lindera Strychnifolia (Japanese
evergreen spicebush, Evergreen lindera), commonly used in traditional Japanese herbal medicine (Kampo). Uyaku extract helps synchronise circadian rhythms, which are easily “de-synchronised” by aging, stress and lack of light. Circadian rhythms are controlled by ""clock genes"", which promote different activities throughout the day: in the afternoon and evening these molecules stimulate protection against UV, cell division and DNA repair, whereas during late at night and in the morning they encourage proliferation of progenitor cells and skin renewal.
