Methylglyoxal is the active compound directly responsible for the antibacterial activity of any Manuka honey & the MGO™ rating clearly indicates the minimum level of this compound in each jar. No other system of measurement gives such a clear & simple indication. The higher the Methylglyoxal content of MGO™ Manuka Honey, the stronger the antibacterial activity. For instance MGO™ 250+ has 2 1/2 times more antibacteiral content than MGO™ 100+. Directions for use: Take one teaspoon (5g) of Manuka Health MGO 100+ Manuka Honey Blend 10+ 30 minutes before a meal, 3 times daily. Intake can be increased if necessary.
