Over 100 years ago Louis Bouglé needed a reel light enough & with enough line capacity for the new lighter rods of the time. So he asked Hardy & we came up with the superb, original Bouglé reel. Since that first model was listed in their 1903 catalogue, the basic design has remained the same, though it has been tweaked & enhanced, so that this new Bouglé incorporates all the best features of 106 years of Hardy reel making.
