A trasmatta is a traditional Swedish rug made from strips of recycled cloth carefully woven together by hand on a floor loom. For over 150 years, Swedish farmers of the historic province of Småland have warmed their feet & decorated their cottage floors with these colourful cotton rugs. Based in a small farmhouse in Smål&, Svenska Trasmattor hunts down these unique, vintage & increasingly rare examples of bygone Swedish culture.
