Ice climbing is an offshoot of mountain climbing. Climbing ice started in the early days of mountain climbing as climbers encountered the hard water ice in the gullies & faces of their lofty objectives. With this experience you will be given an introduction to a very cool sport! London & Manchesters most challenging ice walls offer 8 metres of real indoor ice climbing, wheres Scotland offers the biggest indoor ice wall in the World at over 15 metres. At a constant temperature of -12 C the concave, real ice climbing walls all present a steep challenge for any aspiring adventurers! Location: London (Covent Garden), Manchester (Deansgate), Scotland (Lochaber) Other Information: * Minimum age: 14 in London & Manchester, 17 in Scotland (Under 18s will need written parental consent). * There are no minimum or maximum height or weight restrictions * Participants should be in good general health & fitness, & should be able to support their own body weight.
