Ice climbing is an offshoot of mountain climbing. Climbing ice started in the early days of mountain climbing as climbers encountered the hard water ice in the gullies & faces of their lofty objectives. With this experience you will be given an introduction to a very cool sport! London & Manchesters most challenging ice walls offer 8 metres of real indoor ice climbing, wheres Scotland offers the biggest indoor ice wall in the World at over 15 metres. At a constant temperature of -12 C the concave, real ice climbing walls all present a steep challenge for any aspiring adventurers!
