Born of Osiris is a progressive metal band from Palatine, Illinois. Formed in 2003, the band underwent several name changes (Diminished in 2003, Your Heart Engraved in 2004, & Rosecrance in 2006) before settling on Born of Osiris. They are currently signed to sumerian records, which has released both of their full length albums (A Higher Place, & The Discovery) & their first EP/ Mini-album, The New Reign. The complexity of their songs allows them to have toured with a more diverse selection of bands, from technical death metal acts such as Beneath the Massacre, to deathcore heroes Winds of Plague, & even grindcore (having toured with See You Next Tuesday).
