Sram X-Range gearing technology centers around the development of 12-speed cassettes & the 10-tooth smallest sprocket. By creating a harder gear on the cassette Sram are able to reduce the size of the chainrings correspondingly whilst still achieving an overall increase in both high & low ends of the gear range. The double chainset follows the same close step president set by the cassette for smoother shifts. A consistent 13-tooth jump is featured across all chainset options to help the rider maintain even cadence for a smoother pedaling experience. The rear derailleur can be set up to compensate for a front derailleur shift automatically, this makes it even easier for the rider to maintain cadence as the jump down or up is much less noticeable. Another key feature of the double chainset groupset is the smart sequential shifting mode in which the rider simply shifts up or down & the electronics figure out which derailleur to move.
