The mist should be applied 20 minutes before sun exposure. The cap needs to be twisted anti-clockwise to be unlocked & expose the spray nozzle, ready for the mist to be applied to dry or damp skin. This mist is ideal to be used when there is moderate sun (but not for use in the middle of the day).
