9.8mm is the modern standard diameter; it maintains very high safety margins & low impact forces while allowing quicker clipping, more responsive belaying & reduced rope drag. It’s a great choice for long sport ropes up to 80m as well as short 30m indoor ropes & every length in between.
Like its cousin the Boa, our Serpent has undergone a thermal stabilising process to ensure the core & sheath are perfectly balanced. This special treatment is what makes the Serpent remain compact & supple throughout its life.
