If ever there was a powder focused freeride board that had earned its stripes in some of the toughest terrain out there then the Slash Straight is most definitely that board. It was the board that Gigi rode to victory in the Red Bull Ultranatural at Bald Face.

The Straight's ability to transfer from powder to piste & back again give this hard charging board a level of versatility missing in so many powder boards, meaning that you could use this as your only board if you so wanted. Built around a fully directional shape it features the freeride specific Backseat Cam Rock. This adds a touch more rocker in the nose & a set back of the camber under the feet to give the board a little more float in the deep stuff & improve manoeuvrability.

Keeping with the rest of the Slash range the Straight is packed to the gunnels with the most up to date thinking in snowboard construction. It utilises the same top end Forever wood core as the ATV. This lightweight combination of paulownia, spruce, beech & poplar deliver one of the most responsive rides in the sport & is perfectly matched to the Reactive Flex structural layers. These state of the art fibreglass layers allow the board to flex across the width as well as along the length forcing the Ultimate traction edges deeper into the snow through the turn.

In addition the Straight uses carbon & Kevlar (landing strips) stringers running from both the nose & tail to the binding inserts to dampen out the ride & help reduce that unwanted vibration you get at real high speed.
