The alpine hammer makes light work of pitons, bulldogs, & other hammer-in protection. You can adjust the Alpine Flick Lock pommel to keep up with the demands of changing terrain. The modular head is compatible with all current Black Diamond picks & adze attachments (sold separately). This means you can adapt your Viper for any terrain. The handle pommel is removable for enhanced purchase when used as a traditional walking axe. Ready for towering mountain routes & single-pitch ice climbs, the Viper Hammer is best used with Black Diamond's Viper Adze ice axe.
