Shape Overview The ATV utilises an advanced all-terrain Directional twin shape that has been designed to deliver class-leading performance across multiple styles of riding. Its advanced low profile nose has been designed to provide effortless lift while keeping swing weight to a minimum. This ensures that you get excellent performance off-piste, but you still get that balance & control you need for spinning off hits. However, the ATV isn’t just about powder & freestyle. Thanks to the progressive sidecut & Ultimate Traction edges, it delivers a level of performance on groomers that is nothing short of outstanding. The progressive sidecut design blends multiple radii with smooth contact points for buttery turn initiation, edge-to-edge transition & edge hold. The Ultimate Traction edges place a small counter radius (bump) in the middle of the board’s sidecut improving edge hold (without creating drag or unpredictable, slow speed control) & adding extra bite on ice, turning regular turns into confident carves. Profile As the ATV is all about ultimate performance, it utilises a traditional camber profile. This responsive profile evenly spreads energy along the edges, powering up the contact points for fast turn initiation & exit, while energising the effective-edge for increased stability & control. Constructed from four different lightweight wood species—paulownia, spruce, beech & poplar, it delivers a highly tuned & dynamic feel. Being lightweight, durable & filled with pop, this highly reactive wood core is the perfect foundation for the ATV. However, it’s when you get to the ATV’s structural layers that you begin to see just how technical this board is. These are formed from a unique two-strand fibreglass blend that in combination with the core, promotes flex across the width of the board as well as tip-to-tail. This gives the ATV a more reactive ride overall. When board sliding a rail, it helps lift the edges slightly, so you don’t hang up. When railing a turn, it helps drive the flex into the turn, adding stability & power. However, that’s not all. To give the board even more pop & power, Slash adds their Buried Treasure. This mix of carbon, Kevlar & basalt fibres add a response to the tips without compromising torsional flex between the feet.
