Well, for 19/20 Rome have brought back the Agent & in one fell swoop have created a stunning mid-range board that perfectly blurs the lines between freestyle & freeride. Built around an all-new state of the art True Twin shape & featuring the all-terrain friendly Fusion Camber profile, this superb board is perfect for riders who want one board that can do it all. With its softer & more mellow flex, the new Agent delivers the ideal combination of freestyle feel & all mountain versatility, so no matter if you’re lapping the park, scoping out side-hits or even just cruising around the resort, the Agent can do it all. Shape Overview Built around an all-new blunt tip & tail true twin shape the new Agents freestyle underpinnings are plain to see. However, don’t be fooled into thinking that this board is a one trick pony. Thanks to its innovative design, the Agent is equally happy, hitting everything on the mountain. Now to ensure that the board delivers that solid & stable performance on the piste, Rome fit the Agent with a mid-radius sidecut. So no matter if you’re tracking into kickers or just playing around on the piste, you’ve got a predictable & progressive feeling board under your feet. Profile To give the Agent that unique ability to take on every type of terrain, Rome utilises theirall-terrain fusion camber. This combines positive camber through most of the running length with a small amount of rocker just before the end of the running length. When loaded, the contact points “roll back” giving the tip & tail a small amount of added rise. This design has the pop & response of positive camber while the small amount of rocker in the tip & tail create a smoother feel & added lift in the pow. Internals Heading up the Agents high-quality build is the Pop core. This lightweight combination of poplar & two paulownia stringers delivers the perfect balance of all-terrain versatility & freestyle friendliness underlining the board's playful feel. To this, Rome then adds its unique Hot Rod technology. In the case of the Agent, it’s the Bamboo Single Barrel version. This innovative technology places glass fibre tubes running from the insert packs out to the tip & tail. Inside these tubes are free floating bamboo rods anchored under the bindings. These add pop & power to the tip & tail of the board without compromising the Agents freestyle inspired torsional flex. Now to ensure that the Agent delivers the perfect balance of freestyle feel & all-terrain versatility, the structural layers are formed from Rome’s exclusive Straightbiax carbon laminate. This high-performance material replaces the longitudinal glass band with carbon fibre to deliver enhanced pop, again without compromising freestyle flex. Base To deliver exceptional performance with increased durability, the Agent uses the high-speed Sintertrue base. This has excellent wax retention, ensuring that you get better performance for longer.
