DCP's Pick Your Line is aimed at those riders who are looking for a high performance freeride board that can tackle the most extreme terrain but still delivers a ride that you don't have to concentrate on 100% of the time. Built around a fully directional shape with directional Cam/ Rock profile, the PYL delivers outstanding performance both in the deep stuff & when charging over the rest of the mountain.
As with the rest of the YES range it has undergone a wholesale change in construction. In comes an all new wood core that combines poplar with beech stringers along the edges & Beech Impact Blocks under the bindings. This delivers a mega responsive ride to give you the confidence to push it to the max whilst increasing both strength & durability. The PYL's structural layers are then formed from a combination of tri-ax glass in the top band & bi-ax glass in the lower b&. This is then reinforced with carbon fibre stringers to give additional pop.
It's this hybrid of glass fibre types & carbon that gives the PYL that unique characteristic of being able to deliver that outstanding high performance ride but with a slightly more forgiving ride than is usual with a board with this level of performance. Also new for this season is the addition of YES's disrupted sidecut profile. This forms the sidecut from multiple straight lines which increases the number of points where the edge bites the snow, cutting through the snow with greater efficiency without giving the edge a hooky feel as you get with other serrated sidecut profiles.
“ Completely insane, carving is like being on a snow roller coaster, I want one”. Alec Kent (TSA Castleford)
