Where’s it going to be skied? Sean Pettit’s first pro-model is just like him, it wants to ski big lines with cliffs & drops. It’s the stiffest ski in K2’s Factory line & is 120mm underfoot, but this isn’t only an Alaskan charger. Powder Rocker has plenty of camber underfoot to produce grip for hard pack, & the contact points are moved closer for better manoeuvrability & a more playful feel.
Who’s going to use it? Freeskiers who like to charge & want one ski for everything. They’ll appreciate its rigidity & power for firm snow, plus the pop & life of the fir/aspen wood core. The big rocker on the nose & tail will aid floatation & the bi-directional sidecut feels smooth & consistent whether riding switch or forward.
Tester’s comments: Eddie (Castleford) ‘A freerider’s dream! So stable & solid underfoot; flattens moguls & floats effortlessly.’
