experience the ski that everyone is talking about. The Ski Of The Year from Powder Magazine proved the ski world is hungry for new shapes & product inspiration. The Line Sakana is a versatile all-mountain ski like no other on the market. With a 105mm waist & signature swallowtail design, the Sakana offers unmatched carving abilities paired with deep snow float. This is the best ski for all mountain carving, slashing & just generally having a great time. Grab yourself a pair of Sakana’s & start drawing your own lines down the mountain. Terrain Type & Ability Level Terrain Type It’s a new take on an all mountain ski, as happy ripping out tight carves on groomed pistes as it is slashing turns on deep powder or popping off natural features. It’s certainly different & it’s definitely fun. Skier Type All mountain skiers who want a fun, playful ski that also has bags of performance for turning & burning. Maybe your park skis just don’t have the zip you require or the ability to keep up with your buddies on piste, or maybe your traditional all mountain skis don’t have the fun factor & pop of your favourite twins. The Sakana covers this, so if you want one ski to do everything, even powder laps, & you want to do it with blend of park pop & piste turning then look no further. Overview Shape The shape is certainly a head turner, with the deep sidecut & the swallowtail. 105mm might sound wide in the waist but with the 15m (174cm) radius, & the clever shape & construction, the Sakana remains playful at all times. A 5 Cut Multi Radius Sidecut blends 5 different radii so that the ski is comfortable in a variety of turns & keeps an intuitive feel. early Taper at the tip means the widest point of the sidecut begins tapering earlier which reduces hook-ups in powder. Rockerearly Rise at the tip means it lifts away from the snow to bring the contact points closer to the centre of the ski. This increases the ski's lift in deep snow & allows it to engage more quickly on hardpack when rolled over on edge. Core Line’s Partly Cloudy core uses stringers of paulownia & maple. The paulownia is a lively, flexible wood with excellent weight to strength ratio; the maple is a dense, hardwood with excellent power transfer & stability. This combination helps keep the weight down without sacrificing performance. Carbon Stringers add pop but are offset by Flax Taping with the result that stiffness is added without the pingy, deflective properties of carbon. Construction Sidewall Construction uses an ultra-high density polyethylene over the edges to absorb vibrations & provide powerful energy transmission. Key Features Swallowtail The most striking element of the design is the swallowtail. This is a dramatic tail knockout that de-couples the farthest reaches of the effective edge while simultaneously forcing the tail of the ski down in soft snow. The result is a ski that can be ridden at shorter lengths without sacrificing performance. An eye-catcher for sure in the lift line but it's not just eye-candy, designer & skier eric Pollard pushed for this feature after experiencing its advantages in surfing & snowboard designs. The swallowtail is as important as what it is, as what it's not! The absence of material in the tail drastically reduces weight while the shape maintains a long effective edge for arching turns & staying in control. In powder, the tail drops you back in the snow lifting your tips for ample flotation while maintaining a neutral skiing stance so you're not in the backseat trying to stay afloat. For those concerned about durability have no fear, the tail is reinforced with titanal so stay in once piece. Directional Flex The softer tip floats & initiates turns easily while the stiffer tail provides power, stability & high speed control.e B tester’s comments: Luke (Buying Team) I was luckily enough to use these on a powder day, dipping off the piste for some fresh turns & back on lower down. They floated with ease, never felt like you had to work to keep the tips up. You could really feel the tail spit you out of turns with tonnes of energy & life. Probably the most fun I had during the whole week. Big jumps, quad kinks, or just hot laps through the park, the Tom Wallisch Pro can perform it all with a style that’ll blow up the internet. This is the best park ski developed by the best skier in the park. A low swing weight, durable construction & a snappy feel, what’s not to like? The core uses Line’s legendary Maple Macroblock with 2 full length maple stringers surrounded by aspen for increased strength & durability. This works perfectly with the Carbon Ollieb&, pre-stretched carbon stringers running down the ski centre for added pop & play. The result is a ski with a lot of life! But you don’t want a ski like this to be over responsive, so Line use their early Rise & early Taper, reducing the weight for better manoeuvrability, as well as there being less chance of hooking or grabbing when landing. Thin Tips also help keep the weight down by using a thin core & sidewall in the tip, saving 100grams a pair for reduced swing weight. The rest of the construction is as well thought out too. The 5 Cut Sidecut uses 5 different radii blended together to create a variety of turn shapes & an intuitive feel. Freestyle skis need to be tough & a cap construction is the best option to resist edge dings & damage, but sidewalls offer more precision. The solution on TW Pro is Capwall, with sidewall underfoot where you want the precision & a cap in the tip & tail to provide the durability & weight saving. It’s not just about performance with the TW Pro, by using the Fatty Base & edge tech plus Tuff Top design, Line don’t ignore durability. The edges & base are 30% thicker than standard skis, with their 2mm wide & 2.5mm high edges plus 1.7mm thick base, dramatically increasing durability & tuning life. The textured tougher top sheet materials resist scratches & abuse for longer, protecting the look & life of the ski. Not just great skis, but tough ones too. The result is a performance park ski, that will hit any feature no matter how big or small. Stiff enough to generate power, but with the flex dialled just right so that butters & presses come easily. The light swing weight helps with spins & will have you going harder on to & off rails. It may not be wide enough to take on the fatter freestyle skis when the powder really arrives, but the quality construction ensures that it will rip round the mountain with plenty of control & response when you do take some runs outside of the park, even in freshies. Quite simply, it is the best pure freestyle ski on the market for anyone who wants a bit of extra pop & a little bit more precision. ...

The Vision 108 sits perfectly between freeride & backcountry categories, meaning it has the benefits of both: powerful all condition performance, & lightweight no compromise build. The mix of THC Construction & Partly Cloudy Core is the key. THC combines Aramid, carbon & fibreglass so there are no excess grams & vibrations are dampened for a smoother ride. The core is a mix lightweight paulownia that keeps it lively & denser maple that adds strength & stability. This is a ski that feels incredibly light, is playful & responsive & has the

Dimensions to ski any conditions no matter who deep. Mount it with alpine bindings or to really maximise the potential put a BC model on. Terrain Type & Ability Level Terrain Type 108mm waist provides plenty of float for soft snow days & fresh turns, working with the early Rise at the tip & tail & early Taper, plus the THC construction, to produce smooth turn initiation & completion. This build also inspires confidence even when the conditions aren’t great thanks to the balanced handling, meaning it is much more than just a pow ski. It’s a fully rounded freeride option, capable of skiing anything with complete confidence. Skier Type With a ski this light it’s perfect to partner up with a tour capable binding for a sweet BC set-up, but the downhill performance is so good that it’s also a great choice as a freeride ski with an alpine binding. With the more central stance & rocker at the tip & tail, it almost has the feel of a freestyle ski, & this makes it super easy to get on with. No need to be a hard-charging expert. It is going to suit skiers who prefer playful over powerful. Overview Shape It’s 108mm underfoot, shines in deeper snow but is also effective in other conditions, & has a 19.5m average radius (183cm) that also aids the versatility. Where it differs from the competition is the early Rise or rocker at the tip & tail, & the early Taper that creates long tips & tails. Plus, the fact that it is more centrally mounted & has more tail lift – almost like a twin tip. The result of this is easy handling & surfy performance in soft snow & excellent manoeuvrability for tighter spots. Rockerearly Rise at the tip & tail lift them away from the snow to bring the contact points closer to the centre of the ski. Construction Sidewall uses Ultra-High Density Polyethylene vertical walls over the edges to absorb vibrations & provide powerful energy transmission. Thin Tip uses a super thin core & sidewalls in the tips & tails to reduce swing weight as well as tip & tail bounce. THC Construction ensures that the lighweight core doesn’t suffer from excess vibrations, making it an especially smooth ride compared to similarly weighted skis that often can feel rattly. Key Features THC Construction Three different composite layups (Carbon, Aramid & Fibreglass) on top of the core resonate at different frequencies to cancel out the harsh vibrations you’d normally get in such a light ski.5 Cut Multi-Radius Sidecut Five different radiuses are blended into the ski’s sidecut. The result? A wide variety of turn shapes & an intuitive feel. Thin Tip Super thin core & sidewalls in the tips are 100 grams lighter per pair for reduced swing weight & tip bounce.e B tester’s comments: Mark (Trainer) I skied a pretty tracked out bowl, on some skis I imagined could have been hard work, but that was absolutely not the case. They felt light & playful yet cruisy & planted over the roughest stuff in there. It was an absolute blast. Line Men's Sir Francis Bacon Freestyle Skis 2019 / 2020

Line’s most popular ski, the Sir Francis Bacon has been completely redesigned for this season. Featuring a 107mm waist width paired with 3D Convex Tech tip & tail technology, the Sir Francis Bacon floats and butters through powder without sacrificing performance on groomers and blown out chop. eric Pollard has produced the best ski for all-terrain freedom.Slash through wind lips, butter over rollers, and experience the playfulness the all-new LINe Sir Francis Bacon has to offer.Developed by eric Pollard, convex contouring across the tip and tail of the ski loosen the ski feel by increasing powder snow displacement – and creating a tip and tail more inclined to plane – for an added dimension of turn shape. Working with this is early Rise, which produces just the right amount of
lift in the tip and tail for smooth handling without affecting the grip or making it flappy. early Taper at the tip and tail positions the skis widest points perfectly so that there is no hooking or dragging from snow, but still leaving a long effective edge. A symmetric flex makes sure the ski feels good however it’s used, switch, regular, park or powder. The result is an intuitive ski that remains balanced whatever the conditions and ready for any terrain. As you’d expect with a ski that uses cutting-edge design, the construction doesn’t cut corners. Partly Cloudy Core uses a blend of lightweight paulownia and maple, creating the best strength to weight ratio in all the Line core options. Sidewall Construction uses an ultra-high density polyethylene over the edges to absorb
vibrations and provide powerful energy transmission. To keep it durable, the Fatty Base and edge employ a 30% thicker base and edges, giving a 1.7mm thick base and 2mm wide edges that are 2.5mm high, meaning better resistance to potential damage and a longer tuning life. This is a fun ski, built to treat everything with a jibby style. It’s firm enough to lay down carves and pop from turn to turn, with the smoothness for powder and deep days. It’s also surprisingly good in the park for a 107mm width, thanks in part to the light weight and the Convex Tech tip. This new version is wider, more playful and sure to keep the popularity of Sir Francis Bacon going for a few more seasons yet, so if you ski everything and just see the mountain as 1 big playground then this is the ski you
need!. Additional informationRadius 16mWaist 107mmRocker Tip / TailDemo N/A
