The Chronic is a benchmark all mountain freestyle ski with the build, shape & performance that other brands try to match. This award-winning ski delivers a poppy ride that crushes big-line jump laps as well as smooth high-speed burns all over the mountain. If you want one ski to do everything well, from park to powder & all the terrain in between then the Chronic is the ski. Terrain Type & Ability Level Terrain Type The Chronic is a proper all mountain option, more so than many other freestyle skis, & without any loss of performance in the park. It will pop, slide & jump as well as any of the 95mm all mountain freestyle skis, & then leave them in its spray when it's time to charge other terrain whether bumps, trees, natural hits or untouched stashes. Skier Type Skiers who want to spend as much time on natural terrain & all mountain as they do in the park, all done on a ski with durability built-in. Overview Shape 95mm underfoot is ideal for a mix of park & all mountain, wide enough to be stable & provide float when the snow is soft or rougher, narrow enough to still feel quick. The 16m (178cm) radius ensures fast turns & good performance on hard snow. A 5 Cut Sidecut uses 5 different radii blended together to create a variety of turn shapes & an intuitive feel. early Taper moves the widest point of the sidecut so it begins tapering earlier in the tip & tail to reduce hook ups in soft snow. Rockerearly Rise at the tip & tail lift them away from the snow to bring the contact points closer to the centre of the ski. This increases the ski's lift in deep snow & allows it to engage more quickly on hardpack when rolled over on edge. Core The core uses Line's legendary Maple Macroblock with 2 full length maple stringers surrounded by aspen for increased strength & durability. Construction Freestyle skis need to be tough & a cap construction is the best option to resist edge dings & damage, but sidewalls offer more precision. The solution on the Chronic is Capwall, with sidewall underfoot where you want the precision & a cap in the tip & tail to provide the durability & weight saving. Thin Tips help keep the weight down by using a thin core & sidewall in the tip & tail, saving 100grams a pair for reduced swing weight. The textured tougher top sheet materials resist scratches & abuse for longer, protecting the look & life of the ski. Not just great skis, but tough ones too. Key Features Fatty Base & edge 30% thicker base & edge, 2.2mm wide x 2.5mm high steel edges & 1.7mm thick base dramatically increase durability & tuning life of the skis. Symmetric Flex The same flex pattern in front & behind your boot conforms to terrain equally riding forward & backwards.e B tester’s comments: Mark (Trainer) These put a big smile on your face. Marking the 15th anniversary of their iconic Travelling Circus, Line have released a limited-edition graphic of 2024’s all new Chronic 101. So not only is this next year’s ski, it’s also a super-limited edition. Featuring the graphics taken from the now doodle covered van used by the Travelling  Circus,  they pay homage to the crew’s epic adventures over the last decade.  With a mega stable 101mm waist,  tip & tail rocker plus a super poppy aspen veneer core, these twin tips are for the freestyler who loves to explore the whole mountain & are happy jibbing in the off-piste just as much as in the park or ripping down the piste. Thin Tips aid jibbing manoeuvrability and rounding off the ski are  Thick-Cut Sidewalls that provide the bomb proof construction you need when regularly hitting features.   Terrain Type & Ability Level Terrain Type Designed for park skiers, but with all-mountain capabilities too. Just as at home ripping up the piste as they are playing in soft snow & on kickers or rails. Skier Type Advanced & expert skiers wanting a freestyle ski that to ride anywhere. In reality, ability is less of factor, it’s more about mindset & wanting the looser feel of a freestyle ski to use everyday on the slopes, in the park or backcountry. Overview Shape With a 101mm waist, you can take the park focused Chronic 101 anywhere & it'll be just fine. A generous waist means tons stability for stomping tricks, cruising around chopped up pistes & decent float for riding in deeper snow. Tiip & tail rocker further aids floation & mellows out the handling on harder conditions too. Rocker Rockered tips & tails are combined with positive camber under foot to allow the ski to charge with ease through unpredictable snow & maintain a solid carve when asked to do so. Turn the whole mountain into your playground. Core An Aspen Veneer Core uses aspen stringers to create a lightweight, snappy & engaged feel. Construction Thick-Cut Sidewalls for grip on hard snow plus added edge strength & durability when hitting features in the park Key Features Bio-Resin Bio-Resins are made from more sustainable sources & have less envorimental impact than traditional resins used in ski manufacturing. Not only that, they also have an increased bonding within the core for enhanced durabilty & performance.
