The 90C is a great addition to our Mindbender crew. It’s the playful one, easy to get on with & not demanding ski, but it will hold an edge & rip out carves when you’re blasting down pistes with friends. 90mm underfoot ticks the box for float in fresh snow without hindering edge-to-edge performance in packed conditions & pistes. The All Terrain Rocker compliments this shape perfectly for smooth control in & out of turns, whatever the conditions. Terrain Type & Ability Level Terrain Type Suited to a variety of terrain, from groomers to fresh snow. The construction, & having no metal, makes it very smooth in chopped snow, bumps & trees. It hasn’t got the grip for the steepest, iciest routes off piste, but it’ll do everything else whilst helping the skier to improve. Skier Type All mountain skier who wants versatility; without having to go too wide. There’s no metal in the 90C, making it more playful than powerful. It’s a great choice for either lighter or less aggressive/skilled skiers. Overview Shape A 90mm waist is the sweet spot for this kind of ski; wide enough to float & still feel quick enough edge to edge for groomed slopes to be fun. The radius favours stability but, working with the rocker on the nose, helps with lift & initiation. The shallow rocker on the tail improves control & allows for easy release. Rocker All Terrain Rocker skis have a gradual rise to the tip for great versatility in all conditions, with a short, low rise in the tail for added control in variable snow. Core Aspen Veneer, aspen is lightweight & resilient, making it a great all rounder. Construction Hybritech blends a sidewall construction underfoot with a cap construction in the extremities. The sidewall section gives the ski accuracy, power & edge grip; the capped region reduces the swing weight & increases overall durability. Key Features Torsion Control Design Designed to enhance stability & control in all snow types, Torsion Control Design combines a progressive torsional flex, with a balanced & even longitudinal profile. Torsionally stiffest in the forebody & centre of the ski, then easing throughout the tail, K2 skis with TCD have both precise, accurate turn initiation & smooth, consistent turn release in all snow types. Carbon Spectral Braid An extension of K2’s Torsion Control Design, Carbon Spectral Braid is a first of its kind variable angle reinforcement that allows for precision tuned torsion & flex by altering the fibre orientation along the length of the ski. Lively, energetic, & remarkably composed; Mindbender skis with K2’s Carbon Spectral Braid have stability & control in spades while remaining hyper-manoeuvrable. Carbon Boost Longitudinal carbon stringers are woven into the patented Triaxial Braid for added pop & rebound.e B tester’s comments: Luke (Buying Team) Always a fan of the Mindbender, this C version is just a bit more forgiving than the Ti. Wide enough for use in softer snow but narrow enough that they aren’t too much of a drag on piste. Really fun in slushy snow & spring conditions.
