With a longer turning radius, Titanal I-Beam, & Dark Matter Damping, the MTi feels quiet & smooth while maintaining stability throughout every turn shape & snow condition. It's time to go fast. Terrain Type & Ability Level Terrain Type Pistes all the way – done at speed & riding the edge the whole way (though the tail isn't so stiff that it won't comfortably ease away if you want it to). Skier Type Piste skiers who want maximum stability, amazing edge hold & top-level precision without having to deal with a race ski. The MTi takes advanced & expert skiers on the smoothest ride at the fastest speeds. Overview Shape Long contact length with the widest points very close to the tip & tail, this gives the ski the best grip all the way through the turn & precise initiation (the Speed Rocker ensures the tip isn't grabby). 74mm in the waist provides quick edge changes; the 18.1m (175cm) radius helps deliver impressive stability at speed & ensures a range of turn shapes are always possible. Rocker Short & low rise in the tip, with camber throughout, for quick turn initiation, precise steering & maximum stability on hard snow. Core A wood core with a mix of maple & aspen. The maple is an energetic, tough, dense wood that absorbs impact; aspen is lightweight & resilient, a great all-round material. A Titanal I-Beam increases the torsional stiffness to improve precision. Construction Powerwall construction ensures that power transfer is dramatically enhanced with the oversized ABS sidewalls that are laminated & pocketed within the wood core in the midbody of the ski. With the sidewall extending into the heart of the ski, the transmission of energy from skier to ski edge is direct & precise. Key Features Dark Matter Damping (DMD)DMD is an offset polymeric damper consisting of a rubber foil below a layer of high modulus carbon fibre. This is strategically placed over the edges at the fore & aft contact points. The interaction of the different materials absorbs high frequency variations that Titanal does not, quietening the edge & improving ski to snow contact. The result is stronger, more progressive edge grip, increased precision & accuracy, as well as heightened edge feel & control. Ti I-Beam The I-Beam technology is placed from the tip to the tail, in the middle of the ski to optimise the power transfer & stability along the entire length of the ski.
