The Bottle Rocket has been designed & built for those creative riders who are looking for all the balance & control of a true freestyle board, but who are unwilling to sacrifice any of the all-terrain, ride anything versatility of an all mountain board. Although built around a twin shape, this isn't your freestyle only twin. With extended nose & tail transitions & a mid-wide profile, not only do you get a balanced & controlled ride, but you also get great float in the pow & a stable & solid ride on the piste. So, if you're an experienced rider who is looking for a well-balanced freestyle inspired all terrain board, then the Bottle Rocket might just be the board for you. Shape Overview The Bottle Rocket is built around an innovative twin tip shape that has been designed to deliver the perfect balance of freestyle control with all-terrain versatility. Utilising a mid-wide chassis, with blunt profile tip & tail it provides all the freestyle control & balance that you could ever need. However, there's more going on here than meets the eye. Thanks to the extended transition zones at the contact points, the Bottle Rocket delivers a level of float in the pow on a par with a lot more powder specific boards. But let's not forget about that extra width. This not only aids float in the pow, but it also allows you rail the board in the carve without worrying about toe & heel drag. Profile To ensure that the Bottle Rocket delivers the perfect balance of freestyle feel & control with all-terrain versatility it utilises K2's Twin Rocker profile. This versatile profile adds progressive rocker zones at the contact points which transition smoothly into the nose & tail kicks. This gives the board a butterier ride, but more importantly, it tricks it into thinking it has a longer nose profile. So together with that extra width, you get far more lift & float in deep snow for a shorter overall length. Now through the centre of the board K2 utilise a flat profile, this works in harmony with the rocker zones to give a playful feel without compromising pop & stability. Construction When it comes to construction, the Bottle Rocket doesn't hold back. Heading this up is the Ollie Bar reinforced B.A.P core. Created from a combination of beech, aspen & paulownia it delivers the perfect balance of durability, performance & lightweight. However, to add additional pop through the length K2 integrate their Olli Bar technology into the core. This inserts a pre-bent bar through the centre of the core to dial in extra pop & power. Now to give the Bottle Rocket its responsive & dynamic overall ride, the complex structural layers are formed from the high-performance ICG 20 tri-ax Glass with Carbon. Integrating tip to tail carbon fibre stringers into the responsive glass delivers a poppy & powerful flex torsionally, but also adds more pop through the length. Additional carbon rods are then added running out from the inserts to the board's contact points. These power-up turn entry & exit while giving more pop off the tip & tail. Base To give great glide in all conditions, the Bottle Rocket utilises a 4000 grade sintered base. This base is fast, durable & requires less waxing.
