THe HIGH-Pe RFORMANCe ALTe RNATIVe FOR KIDSWhen most brands introduce a kids board to their range, they usually head out to China & graphic up a cheap generic board from a factory you’ve never heard of. Now while this is great for ticking a box that says you’ve got a kid’s board in your range, it does very little for progressing the sport. So, step forward the Prodigy. Sharing much of the premium materials from the Jones adult range, this is the perfect board for those riders that have moved on from riding a traditional kids board & are now looking for a board that will challenge their riding & push their skills to the highest level. Built around a versatile directional twin chassis & utilising a twin flex, the prodigy can tackle any terrain or riding style making it the perfect choice for anyone that wants to ride everything & anything. What type of rider? Intermediate to advanced junior riders who are looking for a versatile board to take their riding to the next level. What Shape is it? The Prodigy utilises a versatile directional twin shape featuring Jones’s state of the art Blunt Nose shape to the Prodigy. This advanced shape & geometry adds float at the nose without compromising the board's overall balance. So, it’s equally at home lapping the park as it is hitting powder runs. Also, the Prodigy features the advanced Traction Tech 1.0 sidecut. This places bumps in the sidecut under the feet adding additional bite points onto the edge, increasing edge hold & high-speed stability. What profile is it? The freeride inspired Directional Rocker profile combines an extended rocker zone at the nose with camber between the feet & a shorter rocker at the tail. This profile allows the board to float effortlessly in deep snow while still delivering a responsive & dynamic ride on hardpack terrain. Shorter rocker at the tail helps create a more responsive & stable feel at the back of the board while still retaining a more playful freestyle friendly catch free ride.3D Contour Base 1.0 The explorer features the unique Spoon-3D base. This advanced design bevels the base at the tip & tail to reduce friction at the contact points. This not only smooths out turn initiation & exit it also adds additional float while increasing the overall riding stability. What’s inside it? As the Prodigy is built for smaller riders, Jones re-engineer the full poplar wood Classic core to give a smoother & slightly softer flex. This ensures that even the smallest rider can drive this board guaranteeing that you can get maximum performance across all sizes & weight ranges. Keeping this in mind, Jones form the structural layers from a softer flexing bi-ax weave glass fibre. These give the board a smoother & more forgiving torsional flex ensuring that it has the optimum feel for smaller, lighter riders. What type of base does it have? To keep costs down the Prodigy comes fitted with a high molecular 5000 grade extruded base. This high-quality base has many of the properties of a sintered base but helps to substantially reduce the cost of the board, without compromising performance. Jones Prodigy Youth Snowboard 2022

The Prodigy isn't like most kids boards, as you'd expect from Jones, this stunning snowboard steps away from that low quality, low performance, low price mindset that most brands follow and comes in with a real performance board for kids who want to take their riding to the next level. Utilising the same premium materials and performance features as Jones' adult models, the Prodigy offers quick learning young riders a solid foundation to keep progressing their skills. The spooned nose + tail edges on the Prodigy's 3D Contour Base 1.0 allow for fluid 'no catch' turn initiation while the CamRock profile keeps the board floating in any snow condition. The Prodigy is also designed to be a little narrower than most other kids boards, so small-footed riders can learn to rail turns with the
board up on edge. What type of rider?
