A new ski for this season, the Helio Recon is an impressive all rounder for the committed tourer. Happy laying tracks in deep fresh snow, slicing up packed powder or gripping on steep, hard conditions. Based around the award winning Helio 95 the Recon swaps to a slightly heavier Poplar wood core, giving it the edge on crustier, more variable snow as well as boosting edge grip. Dampening built in to the sidewalls helps create a smooth, powerful ride, working perfectly with the rocker/camber/rocker profile. The rocker on the nose aids floatation & steering, whilst the tail rocker improves the balance & ease of turn release by reducing hooking. Camber through the centre ensures more grip & control; a pre-preg fibreglass layup assists in keeping the weight down by reducing any excess glue.
