The IPO is the single biggest evolution of the snowboard binding since the very beginning of the sport. Designed to work in total harmony with the rider’s body it optimises weight transfer & shifts energy to the board unlike any other binding on the market. Built around a revolutionary central kingpin baseplate design the IPO’s innovative design allows the rider to transfer 100% of their energy direct to the edge of the board. This massive increase in forces creates a binding that delivers a level of performance that is light years ahead of even the stiffest traditional two strap design. In fact the IPO is so efficient that NOW has had to find a way of reducing the energy transfer as it would make the whole set up too responsive to ride comfortably. It does this by fitting soft dampening pads onto the Baseplate which cushion the foot unlike any other binding; delivering a level of comfort that up to this point has only been dreamed of. In addition to this the binding is so efficient that the high back is now redundant so it can be very easily removed for a more surf inspired ride without compromising one bit of performance.
