A skin covering the full base of a ski adds extra weight & unnecessary drag; most of the grip comes from under the binding area. By not having the skin material all the way to the tail, the Alpinist+ saves weight without adversely affecting grip. At the front an extended TPU tip provides superior glide while trail breaking & self-aligning steel hands secure them to the front of the ski. The tail strap provides up to 16cm of length adjustment & the camming clip grips to the tail. A non-toxic adhesive formula provides grip for skinning uphill & is effective down to -30°c; PFC-free waterproofing prevents snow build-up while exceeding environmental standards.
