The Alpinist+ Universal skin is the ideal all-purpose, go-anywhere skin built for cold & dry conditions. The optimised mix of mohair for glide & nylon for added durability. A skin covering the full base of a ski adds extra weight & unnecessary drag; most of the grip comes from under the binding area. By not having the skin material all the way to the tail, the Alpinist+ saves weight without adversely affecting grip. At the front an extended TPU tip provides superior glide while trail breaking & self-aligning steel hands secure them to the front of the ski. The tail strap provides up to 16cm of length adjustment & the camming clip grips to the tail. The Removable Rip Strip reduces skin-to-skin adhesion, making it easier to pull apart skins, & if your glue gets contaminated on an epic traverse, you can remove the strip for extra adhesion. A non-toxic adhesive formula provides grip for skinning uphill & is effective down to -30C; PFC-free waterproofing prevents snow build-up while exceeding environmental standards. Comes with a G3 trim tool for cutting the skins to size & covers up to 130mm width.
