Faction’s newest addition to the hugely successful Prodigy line up is the 0.0, a playful & effortless introduction to the world of freeskiing. The shape is dialled for making skiing easier with clever features such as the elliptic Radius Sidecut making it simple to pivot as well as quick in to the turn, & Surf Zones that blend the rocker & taper perfectly to create smooth handling whatever the conditions. XL 2.5mm edges & the Micro-Cap Construction ensure good performance is matched with durability. Terrain Type & Ability Level Terrain Type Lots of time in parks, especially in the domes & dryslopes of the UK. It has the dimesions to ski all mountain too, whether shredding pistes or ripping around some fresh snow. Skier Type Younger or lighter skiers looking for a flex that will work with them, not hold them back, but from a full blown freestyle ski. Most of the time will be spent in the park or riding around looking for features to hit. Overview Shape A skinnier tail width than in the tip provides ultimate downhill performance for attacking the mountain, but still allowing you to release the tail when you want to. A twin tip in the tail encourages playfulness & freestyle attitude, meaning you can ride switch without a problem. 85mm in the waist keeps the ski nimble & quick underfoot, with enough width to provide a stable platform. Rocker Tip & Tail Rocker uses traditional camber underfoot for response & good edge grip, with rocker at the tip & tail to improve manoeuvrability by aiding turn initiation & completion. Core A lightweight Fusion core allows for playful & effortless riding all over the mountain. Construction Micro-cap construction is a hybrid of two construction techniques: a premium, sandwich sidewall construction fused with a lightweight, durable cap construction. With micro-cap, the sandwich construction provides awesome edge hold & torsional stability while the ski’s topsheet wraps around & meets the sidewall, protecting the fragile joint that can be prone to chipping. Key Features Surf Zones Surf Zone unites Rocker & Taper design to make sure these two key features work in harmony. Rocker provides float & facilitates pivoting, while a Tapered Tip moves the widest part of the ski closer to the centre & removes unwanted hooking. The right amount of both, in the right place, to promise a floaty, seamless, surfy ride in all conditions.XL 2.5mm edges Thicker edges mean increased durability & impact resistance, crucial for a ski that is built to test the rule book. elliptic Radius Sidecutelliptical Radius Sidecut is made up of a longer radius underfoot & shorter radii in the tip & tail of the ski. The long radius underfoot means you can pivot faster & easier, while a shorter radius in the tip & tail result in easier turn initiation. This sidecut allows for a wide variety of turns lengths, angles & mounting positions.
