If riding fast & hard is your thing then the Driver X is definitely the boot for you. It’s the stiffest model in the Burton line & is aimed at freeriders who are looking for the ultimate in high speed response, control & power. Built around a supportive upper it features the Speed Zone™ Lacing system; this zonal closure means that you can get the perfect fit as well as locking the foot into the shell for the ultimate response. In addition the Driver X uses the Firm Flex Thin Profile 3D® Moulded Tongue. This features a removable tongue stiffener that lets you increase the boots stiffness for those days when you just want to gun it on the groomers. This all sits on a Shrinkage™ Footprint Reduction Vibram sole unit with Dual Zone cushioning (EVA in toe & B3 Gel in the heel). This dampens out unwanted shocks but it also increases grip over a standard snowboard boot which makes the Driver X easier to hike in. Internally the boot uses the high end Imprint 3X heat mouldable liner with Tuff Cuff & Rad Pad. This gives the ultimate in fit & comfort making the Driver X a high performance boot that you can comfortably wear all day long.
