UCO are the original & still the best patented candle lantern, ideal for back country trekking, cycle camping, kayaking or at home in an emergency. They are very economical to run (less than 10p an hour), give a warm, morale boosting light source, will slightly raise the temperature on a cold night & even help to reduce condensation inside a tent. A spring powered tube pushes the candle up as it burns, keeping the flame at a constant height. Each candle burns cleanly & evenly for a minimum of 9 hours & the unit collapses down on itself protecting the glass globe making it very compact & well protected for transport.
