On icy skin tracks or firm descents, the Directional Rocker profile & Inner/ Outer Traction Tech 2.0 edges provide confident stability & edge grip. The Frontier Split offers high performance without skimping on materials as it’s built with our new Sintered 8000 base, an eco-plastic topsheet & a new Classic V-Core that is specially profiled for added pop between the feet. New for 2021, the Frontier Split has easily replaceable, screw mounted Karakoram tip clips. Shape Overview The Frontiers Splits directional shape has been specially engineered to create a versatile ride across the whole mountain. The innovative Blunt Nose Profile allows the nose to rise quickly in deep snow, while the Traction Tech 2.0 on both the outer & inner edges adds multiple contact points to the sidecut. These ensure that the Frontier feels locked in on even the iciest descents whilst still giving a reassuring & safe feel on even the trickiest of skin tracks. Profile The freeride inspired Directional Rocker combines an extended rocker zone at the nose with camber between the feet & a shorter rocker at the tail. This profile allows the board to float effortlessly in deep snow while still delivering a responsive & dynamic ride on hardpack terrain. That shorter rocker at the tail helps create a more responsive & stable feel at the back of the board while still retaining a more playful catch-free ride. Construction Heading up the Frontier Split’s high-quality construction is the durable yet lightweight Classic Core.
