Phil Casabon's pro model ski, the Bdog, caters perfectly to his press & pop mastery. The Circle Flex uses super flexible tips & tails in conjunction with straight sections in the sidecut, located right where the pressing happens for maximum surface area & minimal hang-ups. The core is a mix of poplar & ash woods. The poplar is lightweight, & the full-length ash stringers are high density & tough, together they create an impossibly lively ski. 2.5 Impact Edges are oversized & specially heat-treated to resist damage; the S7 base is slick, tough & fast for maximum speed as well as durability. The combination of AR75 Sidewall & AR Freestyle Rocker adds versatility & enhanced handling. The sidewall runs the length of the ski edge working with the camber underfoot to produce grip on firm transitions & pop on kickers; rocker at the tips & tails ensure smooth handling with no hooking. Thanks to the soft flex it never becomes unruly in the park, in fact this ski pretty much redefines playful. Lock into that tranny in any park or urban setting, stomp & repeat. Terrain Type & Ability Level Terrain Type It's designed for park but it's also surprisngly good all mountain. The shape with the long nose & tail & the Circle Flex, makes it super smooth for buttering; this design also shines when skiing fresh snow, letting the ski initaite & release super-easily. Skier Type Park skiers who want something playful to press & butter as well as hit jumps & rails but also get on to the rest of the mountain as well. Overview Shape 94mm in the waist feels quick edge to edge & the 15m radius makes it turn nicely on hard pack when taking quick runs down groomers. The long nose & tail feature straight sections to help with pressing. Rocker AR Freestyle Rocker uses rockered tips & tails combined with positive camber under foot to allow the ski to charge with ease through unpredictable snow & maintain a solid carve when asked to do so. Turn the whole mountain into your playground. Core Armada's Poplar Ash Core uses lightweight poplar combined with higher density full-length ash stringers to create an impossibly lively ski that has all the power needed for boosting to new elevations. Construction The AR75 Sidewall uses semi-cap sidewall along the majority of the ski with a full cap at the tip & tails. This combination helps absorb high speed chatter & impacts from jibs. Key Features Circle Flex Phil Casabon's signature Circle Flex uses super flexible tips & tails, with straight' sections in the sidecut where the pressing happens for maximum surface area & minimal hang-ups. 2.5 Impact Edge Oversized & specially heat treated, this edge is built to resist impact damage in the most demanding situations. S7 Base The perfect blend of durability & speed. EB tester’s comments: Mark (Trainer) Don't think they're just built for the park. They're great for playing around the whole hill too. It's easy to see why park skiers love them as they're mega forgiving & stable for stomping landings or buttery take offs. The Bantam is the ideal ski to get your boy comfortable on snow whether trying some jumps & tricks or just throwing down turns. A cap construction & 2.4 Impact edges keep it durable. The 78mm waist (120cm) & easy turn radius ensure it’s simple to ski & versatile enough for pistes or playing around off the sides. It’s a twin tip so it’s forgiving to slide in & out of turns, as well as for skiing backwards. The integrated binding is light with an easy step-in & will fit Alpine or Gripwalk soles on boots. Get ready for the Best Day ever! Terrain Type & Ability Level Terrain Type The Bantam is impressively stable, making it ideal for younger freestylers or budding all mountain skiers. Skier Type Boys who just want to shred everything & have fun. Overview Shape 78mm in the waist works well in a variety of conditions, narrow enough on groomed runs & with enough width to feel stable in the park & exploring away from the pistes. The 16.2m (120cm) further improves the stability. The directional twin shape feels great when used switch. Rocker Positive Camber. Traditional camber engages the tip & tail of the ski throughout the turn shape, enhancing ease of entry into, & exiting, the turn for the ultimate in edge hold. Core The Injectzone Core guarantees consistency with every ski identical with flex, feel & performance. Construction Cap construction is tough & durable, extending the life of the ski & keeping it looking better for longer. Little edge catches on the cap are resisted much better than if a flat topsheet was used. A Laminate Matrix lay-up uses a directional layering of fibreglass that dictates the flex pattern & torsional rigidity to create the ultimate in quick response, forgiveness & liveliness. Key Features System Binding Using a system binding means that the binding can be adjusted to fit different boot sizes if feet grow or the ski is passed to a younger sibling, without the need for redrilling, it just slides, moves & clicks in to place.2.4 Impact edge Oversized edge used for demanding environments, this edge extends the lifetime of a ski. The Declivity 102 Ti has found a sweet spot in terms of mixing high-performance with playfulness & ease of use, a very rare thing. It's the result of Articulated Titanal Banding. This adds precision & stability as well as bringing a smooth energy to turns. It has the grip to ski & attack harder snow, the stability to fly over rough terrain & the width & shape to flow through fresh conditions when you find them. It's a proper all condition wide ski. Skier Type Suits freeriders & all mountain skiers who want a ski with grip & precision that can be pushed but isn't demanding to ski. It's a rare combination but Armada have achieved it. All skiers who know they want a 100mm or thereabouts ski will get something from it, whether they are new to this width & still working on technique & are finding new terrain to ski, or whether they're already skilled & experienced but are tired of the trade off between stiff high-performance models & softer, less demanding ones. The 102 finds that balance for grip & precision with stability, smoothness & ease of use. Overview Shape It's obviously 10mm wider than the 92 Ti version but it also has slightly more taper at the tip & tail. This longer transition to the widest points on the ski gives it better stability away from pistes, with more predictable handling. It's also got slightly less sidecut than it's narrower brother again adding to the stability. Rockere ST Freeride Rocker uses fore body rocker combined with extra tip taper for optimised float in the soft stuff. Positive camber underfoot with no tail rocker ensures the ski stays on rails when carving. Core Armada's Caruba Core is their lightest core but retains the power & dampness required to descend the gnarliest of terrain. It uses caruba, a wood that is lighter than poplar without losing energy or durability. This is reinforced with Titanal in a build called Articulated Titanal Banding, improving the power &, unlike regular metal sheets, doesn't over-stiffen the ski. Construction With AR100 Sidewalls Armada are using full length vertical sidewalls, something they haven't done for a long time. This construction improves precision & edge hold. Key Features Articulated Titanal Banding Titanal adds horsepower to the ski with uncompromising performance, acting as a shock absorber & quietening chatter to give unparalleled stability & confidence at speed. To make sure this doesn't over-stiffen the ski & make steering difficult it has vertical cut-outs at the tip & tail. This adds precision and stability as well as bringing a smooth energy to turns. As stable as the stiff 100mm skis that are on the market, and as fun and easy as the non-metal versions, it won’t disappoint anywhere.
