Armada aren't known for using metal in their constructions preferring more playful characteristics to shine, but with the Declivity range they are changing that very successfully. Thanks to a clever build using Titanal with cut-out sections, the 92 Ti has the performance on hard snow which doesn't affect the handling in soft conditions. Precision carves can be locked down but, because it isn't as stiff as other skis with metal, it keeps that playful feel, helping make this one of the best all mountain skis we've ridden. Terrain Type & Ability Level Terrain Type All mountain, so everything from pistes to powder, bumps, trees & steeps. It has qualities that make it shine in all the conditions. Grip, precision & energy on firmer snow; float & smoothness in soft snow; stability & balance for mixed terrain & variable conditions. Yes, it is that good. At 92 it favours firmer snow & mixed conditions, though it will easily handle fresh snow. If powder is your main aim then its bigger brother, the 102, is the model to look at with its extra float, but you will lose some of the nimbleness that makes the 92 so special. Skier Type The fact that ski feels so good means it has a very broad appeal. Intermediates will enjoy the balance & the smooth predictable handling, giving them confidence to explore & push their limits. Advanced skiers will value the same attributes as well as appreciating the grip & precision when skiing faster & trickier terrain. Lighter experts will also enjoy the ski as it has everything they want, without requiring tonnes of power to drive it. Overview Shape This is a modern all mountain ski so the width hits the sweet spot of 90-94mm. Still quick edge to edge & retaining the float. The tip has plenty of taper as it blends into the widest part of the ski, providing a smooth initiation, helped by the rocker & clever Articulated Titanal Banding tech (more below). Its shape works especially well with the build to create a ski that is responsive on piste, but stable & forgiving off. Rockere ST Freeride Rocker uses fore body rocker combined with extra tip taper for optimised float in the soft snow. Positive camber underfoot with no tail rocker ensures the ski stays on rails when carving. Core Armada's Caruba Core is their lightest core but retains the power & dampness required to descend the gnarliest of terrain. It uses caruba, a wood that is lighter than poplar without losing energy or durability. This is reinforced with Titanal in a build called Articulated Titanal Banding, improving the power &, unlike regular metal sheets, doesn't over-stiffen the ski. Construction With AR100 Sidewalls Armada are using full length vertical sidewalls, something they hadn't done for while before the Declivity. This construction improves precision & edge hold. Key Features Articulated Titanal Banding Titanal adds horsepower to the ski with uncompromising performance, acting as a shock absorber & quietening chatter to give unparalleled stability & confidence at speed. To make sure this doesn't over-stiffen the ski & make steering difficult it has vertical cut-outs at the tip & tail. These are filled with an elastic Compound Layer that allows the ski to enter the turn with ease during the turn this compound compresses so that the Articulated Titanal Banding releases more energy than a traditional Ti layer.2.5 Impact edge Oversized & specially heat treated, this edge is built to resist impact damage in the most demanding situations. The Declivity X 102 finds a sweet spot in terms of mixing high-performance with playfulness & ease of use, a very rare thing & it’s the result of Articulated Titanal Banding X. As stable as the stiff 100mm skis that are on the market, & as fun & easy as the non-metal versions, it won’t disappoint anywhere. Terrain Suitability Everything you are going to find off piste (and it will still ski groomed trails). It has the grip to ski & attack harder snow, the stability to fly over rough terrain & the width & shape to flow through fresh conditions when you find them. It’s a proper all condition wide ski. Skier Type Suits freeriders & all-mountain skiers who want a ski with grip & precision that can be pushed but isn’t demanding to ski. It’s a rare combination but Armada have achieved it. All skiers who know they want a 100mm or thereabouts ski will get something from it, whether they are new to this width & still working on technique & are finding new terrain to sk... ...

No skier has revolutionized freestyle more in the last decade than Henrik Harlaut & his signature ski, the Edollo, continues to support him every step of the way. It’s built for nose-pressing & confidence in the park. The wide platform is ideal for stomping landings & locking onto rails & helps ensure it skis the rest of the mountain equally well. Terrain Suitability It's an amazing park ski but, thanks to the shape & camber, it's surprisingly good when skiing all-mountain too. The flex is soft so it does have a speed limit in terms of grip on hard snow but that isn't what this ski is about anyway. Skier Type Skiers who want a soft playful flexing ski to press, butter & hit jumps & jibs. Definitely one for the park skiers, but that doesn't mean you have to stay in the park, it's more about the style & the way ski flexes & what you'll do with it. The soft nose means easy presses & the balanced flex through the centre & tail means smooth butters. Shape 98mm in... ...

No skier has revolutionized freestyle skiing more in the last decade then Henrik Harlaut & his signature ski, the edollo, continues to support him every step of the way. The edollo is built for maximum nose-pressability & confidence in the park. 2.5 Impact edges are oversized & specially heat-treated to resist damage; the Comp Series Base is Armada’s fastest, boosting confidence on kickers when you know the ski is going to glide well. AR Nose Rocker uses traditional camber underfoot for grip & edge hold, with rocker at the nose for pressing & better turn initiation. Having camber into the tail improves the versatility of the ski & makes it one of the very best pure freestyle skis when outside of the park. AR75 Sidewall construction means full length sidewall for the best grip, whether in the park or skiing the rest of the mountain. The wide platform is ideal for stomping landings & locking onto rails, & helps ensure it skis the rest of the mountain equally well. Terrain Type & Ability Level Terrain Type It’s an amazing park ski but, thanks to the shape & camber, it’s surprisingly good when skiing all mountain too. The soft nose means easy presses & the balanced flex through the centre & tail means smooth butters. Overview Shape 98mm in the waist & the 20m radius (172cm) ensures good stability on rails & jumps, as well as making the ski ride well when out of the park. The tip & tail are quite short compared to many skis on the market, but this works well with the camber, nose rocker & soft flex. Rocker AR Nose Rocker uses a traditional sidecut paired with tip rocker & standard camber for easier turn initiation without compromising edge hold. The low tip rocker & plenty of camber is matched with a soft flex, especially on the tip, giving the ski a fairly unique position amongst park skis making it standout. Core Armada’s Poplar Ash Core uses lightweight poplar combined with higher density full-length ash stringers to create an impossibly lively ski that has all the power needed for boosting to new elevations. Construction The AR75 Sidewall uses semi-cap sidewall along the majority of the ski with a full cap at the tip & tails. This combination helps absorb high speed chatter & impacts from jibs. A Laminate Matrix lay-up uses a directional layering of fibreglass that dictates the flex pattern & torsional rigidity to create the ultimate in quick response, fogiveness & liveliness. Key Features Comp Base Sintered UHMW polyethylene with added carbon aids in speed & durability on snow.2.2 Impact edge Heat treated & built to avoid excess weight while maintain durability, this edge gives the best balance of durability & feel of the whole Armada collection.e B tester’s comments: Mark (Trainer) Not your average twin tip. A little more shape & set back than most park skis, which makes for a great all mountain ski. You can feel how the flex would be great for someone into buttering jibs, but for me it made them nicely forgiving & cruisy.  Technical Specifications Size (cm) Tip Width (mm) Waist Width (mm) Tail Width (mm) Radius (m) Weight (g)172131981212019001801339812320.51975 General Information Skier Ability: Advanced/expert Terrain Type: Freestyle Rocker: Tip Rocker Radius: Long Base: Sintered Bindings: n/a DIN: n/a Construction: Semi Sidewall Core: Wood Demo: No Sizing Description: eye level for the maximum ease of spinning & rail tricks, but you need to go bigger for extra stability or speed & for all mountain versatility, especially important on the wider models that are designed to spend more time away from the park. ...
