Grip, precision, & energy on firmer snow; float & smoothness in soft snow; stability & balance for mixed terrain & variable conditions. Yes, it is that good. At 92mm it favours firmer snow & mixed conditions, though it will easily handle fresh snow. If powder is your main aim, then its bigger brother, the 102, is the model to look at with its extra float, but you will lose some of the nimbleness that makes the 92 so special.... ...

Armada aren't known for using metal in their constructions preferring more playful characteristics to shine, but with the Declivity range they are changing that very successfully. Thanks to a clever build using Titanal with cut-out sections, the 92 Ti has the performance on hard snow which doesn't affect the handling in soft conditions. Precision carves can be locked down but, because it isn't as stiff as other skis with metal, it keeps that playful feel, helping make this one of the best all mountain skis we've ridden. Skier Type The fact that ski feels so good means it has a very broad appeal. Intermediates will enjoy the balance & the smooth predictable handling, giving them confidence to explore & push their limits. Advanced skiers will value the same attributes as well as appreciating the grip & precision when skiing faster & trickier terrain. Lighter experts will also enjoy the ski as it has everything they want, without requiring tonnes of power to drive it. Overview Shape This is a modern all mountain ski so the width hits the sweet spot of 90-94mm. Still quick edge to edge & retaining the float. The tip has plenty of taper as it blends into the widest part of the ski, providing a smooth initiation, helped by the rocker & clever Articulated Titanal Banding tech (more below). Its shape works especially well with the build to create a ski that is responsive on piste, but stable & forgiving off. Rockere ST All Mtn Rocker pairs rocker with a tapered sidecut in both the tip & the tail to provide floatation in soft snow as well as forgiveness. Camber underfoot maintains edge hold on hard pack. Core Armada's Caruba Core is their lightest core but retains the power & dampness required to descend the gnarliest of terrain. It uses caruba, a wood that is lighter than poplar without losing energy or durability. This is reinforced with Titanal in a build called Articulated Titanal Banding, improving the power &, unlike regular metal sheets, doesn't over-stiffen the ski. Construction With AR100 Sidewalls Armada are using full length vertical sidewalls, something they haven't done for a long time. This construction improves precision & edge hold. Key Features Articulated Titanal Banding Titanal adds horsepower to the ski with uncompromising performance, acting as a shock absorber & quietening chatter to give unparalleled stability & confidence at speed. To make sure this doesn't over-stiffen the ski & make steering difficult it has vertical cut-outs at the tip & tail. These are filled with an elastic Compound Layer that allows the ski to enter the turn with ease during the turn this compound compresses so that the Articulated Titanal Banding releases more energy than a traditional Ti layer.2.5 Impact edge Oversized & specially heat treated, this edge is built to resist impact damage in the most demanding situations.
