The Stereo is Amplids entry into that hugely popular category of boards, the all-terrain twin. Aimed squarely at riders looking for one board that you can jump on & take over the whole mountain, this stunning snowboard feels at home no matter what or where you ride. From charging around on the piste, lapping the park or even hunting out backcountry powder stashes, this versatile & playful board does do it all, but crucially, it does it all really well. Coming in at a 5 out of 10 for stiffness, the Stereo is one of those boards that doesn’t take much effort to get the best out of it; however, don’t go thinking that just because it isn’t overly stiff, it’s going to struggle when you want to push on. What Amplid has managed to achieve here is a relatively easy-going board, but it’s also a board that when you do start to push on, it never feels like it’s not going to be able to handle it. True twin outline. Balanced, Low Swing Weight Mid Width 152 x 25.2 155 x 25.7 158 x 26cm All Terrain Tips. Blunt Profile, fuller width A smooth kick radius & fuller tip outline improves deep snow floatation without adding swing weight. Cruise Camber This is the perfect camber-line for no-compromise, all-mountain inspired shredding. Subtle rocker in the tips generate lots of lift at low speeds & an out-of-this-world, weightless feel at speed. Underfoot camber transmits power at its best. Mid Tight Sidecut 152 x 7m 155 x 7.3m 158 x 7.5m Omni Corewith Pre Cured Impact Pads This superlight wood core is the industry standard for lightweight, durable & versatile performance. Amplid has tweaked this core multiple times over the years, so there’s nothing left to improve. To add additional strength to the core & help reduce core compression at the binding edges, Amplid inserts tough, pre-cured composite impact plates placed beneath the bindings. These significantly reduce the risk of top sheet dings & breakages. Viscodamp Dampening Technology Full-depth channels are strategically CNC-ed into the nose & tail of the snowboard core. A low-shore-hardness Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU), a softer version of the material used in skateboard wheels, is poured into the channels & cured. Vibrations create shear forces between the upper & the lower laminate. The TPU material is bonded to the top & bottom fibreglass laminates & absorbs energy during initial shear deformation. During the elastic return to its original shape, the TPU sucks up vibrational energy & delays successive vibration oscillations. Bi-ax glass 0°/90° Using Biaxial Glass in the construction of our shreds gives them a flawless blend of response & playfulness whilst keeping them ridiculously lightweight. Carbon Pop Band A narrow band of uni-directional carbon stringers run through the centreline of the snowboard from tip-to-tail, increasing pop & extending flex memory without altering torsional stiffness. Sintered 7 Base Amplid’s ultra-high density sintered base goes like sh**-off-a-shovel in all snow conditions. It is extremely hard & therefore more resistant to damage. ...
