The Slayblade has been an increasingly popular board over the last four years with a bag full of awards to back up its all mountain domination. This year sees a big redesign with the new Precision Lifted Baseline being the foundation of the changes. The Lifted baseline takes a flat profile and raises it up. This profile naturally increases pop and power whilst retaining the consistency and precision of a flat profile. Camber was developed for skis and had been adopted by snowboard manufacturers. Lifted has been developed for snowboards... and it shows. and may vary Features: For a long time now K2 have built their boards around a flat profile (often with varying amounts of rocker at the nose and tail), the new Precision Lifted Baseline is an evolution of the flat profile. Essentially the flat section between the feet extends towards the contact points and is raised from the contact points at the tip and tail. This provides the pop of a camber board with the straight tracking and precision of a flat profile. K2 have flattened and extended the nose and tail to produce their trade mark Tweekends. This provides a larger platform by increasing the base contact right to the tips. This gives you a bigger and more stable platform for presses, landings and increased float in powder. Six triangle shaped pods surround the binding inserts to
provide the ultimate in underfoot dampening.  Harshmellow takes the sting out of heavy landings and long days charging, it can also be found in some K2 boots and bindings. With a sidewall that extends along the effective edge and flows into in the nose and tail Hybritech construction provides the benefits of low swing-weight, optimised turn initiation and durability. A Hyper Progressive sidecut is an infinite blend of different radius designed to be responsive at high speeds but smooth enough for butters. The Bambooyah Blend WH4 Core features every bit of core tech that K2 has developed. Bamboo laminates drastically increase the cores strength, which is backed up by a two year warranty. This is combined with a WH4 core that utilises weight saving urethane-skinned HoneyKomb and
tip-to-tip, rail-to-rail wood for feel and performance. ICG20 has integrated carbon in the Biaxal fibreglass weave. The results are reduced overall weight, with an increase to pop and liveliness. The NEW Carbon Web II additive brings pop and snap closer to the bindings. Extending from the outermost binding inserts to the edges (in L shapes), Carbon Web transfers energy out to the parts of the board that really effect edge grip and turn initiation. The Ollie-Bar is a pre-loaded, cambered shaped insert made up of carbon, Kevlar and glass layers. Placed in the middle of the board, between the bindings, the Ollie Bar is the backbone of the board and provides extra ollie power. 0 Sintered Base is the highest quality sintered available.
