Each year we tweak the Paradigmas proven formula based on feedback from the many members of the Amplid Research Cartel who choose it as their daily driver. This year Amplid added Pop Band carbon stringers along the centre of the board to increase the Paradigmas longitudinal stiffness. The result is a more lively flex for bigger ollies & a more kick out of turns, but the same forgiving nature. This narrow band of tip-to-tail carbon runs through the centre line of the board & increases pop without adding torsional stiffness. Boards with Pop Band feel livelier but remain forgiving.   Sintered GE 7.2 (7200) LS Base with Stone Finish is the very same material used in record breaking race skis & snowboards. Many hours were spent, & several gallons of coffee drunk, conceiving a snowboard shape that could generate the Morning Glory’s mind altering floatation, regular & switch. Butter across a loaded Japanese snow mushroom; launch a frontside 180 into a BC pillow line; with the Pillow Talk the line between freestyle and freeride snowboarding is utterly blurred. The Pillow Talk is only 156cm long, but its chubby 26.7cm waist & large spatula-like tips with their extended blend zones, create an excessive amount of floatation. The smooth buttery flex, short effective edge & Mid-Riser Rocker add a playfulness not found in ‘conventional’ pow boards. The Pillow Talk is designed to be ridden shorter & much wider than your usual freeride board. The results are unsinkable but nimble powder boards & sawn-off jib decks with huge pop.   Increasing the width of the board increases the surface area meaning you can reduce the length & not sacrifice flotation in powder.   For optimal performance when riding powder planes at high speed the Elliptic Powder Nose even keeps the tip from submarining when you can’t fully open the throttle.    Magma Edge Absorber is a thin strip of rubber between the sidewall & the metal edge to iron out any unwanted bumps & vibrations.   Tapered Fly Tips remove the necessity of bringing the wood core or a TPU spacer to the tips, reducing swing weight & increasing playfulness.

The ski feels really well built, great for taking on anything you can throw at it. Ideal for any freestyle/park skier that just wants to have a fun playful ski that can tackle the park & the rest of the mountain.   SKI BINDING ADVICE: You will need a minimum 90mm brake width for this ski. You could go for a Marker Griffon or a Marker Squire for a lighter set-up. Use a Marker Schizo  Binidng for more versatility..
