The CHAM range, constructed in the Chamonix valley, the cradle of extreme skiing, pushes back the limits of Freeride & simultaneously makes it more accessible. The new ‘levitation Profile’ & Dynastar’s high quality manufacturing processes combine to deliver an unbeatable mix of handling, flotation, power & stability in all snow conditions. The CHAM 107 is the next-generation 5-point sidecut freeride ski that delivers a unique, user-friendly blend of float, manoeuvrability, & stability in all snow conditions. Combining a tapered tip & tail with traditional sidecut underfoot for both effortless manoeuvrability & powerful turns in new snow, & the ability to hold its edge & carve on harder snow. It features Dynastars Levitation Profile which has a long rockered tip, classic camber under the foot, & a flat pintail. Combined with a 107mm waist, these features give the Cham 107 superior float through powder, but also excellent edge-grip on the hardpack. Ski
Specification Geometry: 137mm / 107mm / 122mm Turn Radius: 20 metres at 184cm Terrain: All Mountain/ Freeride Orientated Core
Material: Wood Titanal Camber/ Rocker: All Snow Rocker Technology: Levitation profile, pin tail & flat tail Bindings: Not included Ski Features All snow Rocker: A fairly long, progressive tip-only rocker for enhanced terrain absorption & impeccable flotation in powder. Ski rotation is facilitated making fore/aft balance easier & reducing muscle fatigue off-piste. The flat tail means you don’t lose the tail pressure required for high speed Freeride or off-piste jump lands. Wood Titanal Construction: Traditional sandwich technology with wood core & two titanal layers that provide excellent stability in carving & greatly reduced torsional effects. The power is provided by two layers of fibreglass whose basic weight varies depending on the model & the desired skiability. The double melamine/phenol sidewalls ensure flexibility & power according to the skiers needs in the direct phases of the turn. Pin & flat tail: A flat, narrower tail that maximises the benefits of the 5 point sidecut. Levitation profile: The combination of a 5 pint sidecut, extra long tip rocker, traditional camber underfoot & narrower ‘pin-tail’ produces the reliability & versatility that are essential in Freeride. Although this ski has significant rocker at the tip it remains relatively flat on the tail. This, in combination with the pin-tail shape allows for enhanced balance in powder & maintains direction when playing in deep snow. However it is not just in the deep stuff that these skis excel. With traditional camber at the waist, they (like all Dynastar skis before them) have great stability, grip & power. This ski powers through whatever is in front of it, be it crud, hardpack or deep powder. They do not feel like they are 107mm underfoot & turn surprisingly quickly. If you concentrate on your skiing & not the skis then you soon forget that you are on a 107mm waist & can really enjoy the exceptional skiability & performance that these skis offer. The Cham is the replacement of the Legend series (which I love), but it is a completely new s
