The Machete is a true twin, with a centred stance & symmetrical sidecut & profile. Slightly stiffer than an all out, park only, board, the Machete can shred the whole mountain. Packed with features & tech, this board represents the rider that wants to take the tricks they can stomp in the park, & throw down in the real world. Landing in powder is much harder, so a board with precision & control is a must, which is where the Machete steps up. Profile: Running length: 1216 Waist
Width: 249mm Sidecut radius: 9850/7350/9850mm Setback: Centred Flex (1 soft, 10 stiff): 4 (Specification based on the 158cm board) Note: Diecut Base Swap

Features: Low Rise Rocker is a true twin profile that compliments true twin shapes & rides just the same forwards as it does switch. It lifts at the contact points with a long almost flat zone underfoot. This provides an almost ‘catch free’ ride & increases float in powder. It is popular with freestyle riders because of the ease in which the board can be ‘pressed’ as it is in an almost pre-pressed shape. Pop Rods 1.0 are carbon rods wrapped in urethane, & then strategically placed in the tip and/or tails of a board. The carbon rod gives huge pop, & the urethane wrap adds some dampening for the landing. The rods are placed on both edges; from the inserts back (or forward at the tip) this gives great pop when preloading one corner of your board i.e. for big rotational aerials. Rather than using ABS sidewalls or those made from wood or P-Tex, Ride have developed their proprietary Slimewall sidewalls. These are made from the urethane, which is commonly used in skateboard wheels, & adds maximum dampening to the edge for a smooth ride & durable construction. Adding carbon stringers to a snowboards construction is an excellent way of controlling & tuning the pop & flex of a snowboard independently, while adding strength & durability by removing stress on the core material. The stringers in Carbon Array 3 extend in an X pattern around the inserts. Extra large edges, with 50% more of the Rockwell Ultra Hard Steel found on regular edges means that Cleave Edge provides unmatched strength & tuneability. Ride use stitched rather than woven fibreglass in their snowboards for a more consistent & therefore stronger construction. 90 & 0 degree angles make up Biaxal Glass which provides a fun & forgiving flex. Fusion 4000 is a sintered base material that is made harder, more durable & faster than the competition. We get a lot of requests from intermediate riders looking to purchase their first board having always hired or those looking to upgrade their board for something that will help them progress over the whole mountain. The Machete has almost become our go-to board for those customers. Pop Rods & Carbon Array provide outstanding launch control when initiating big aerial manoeuvres, while the Lowrize profile gives excellent stability on landing & takeoff with the forgiveness of having raised contact points. Throw in Slime Walls & Cleave Edges, & you have a virtually indestructible board capable of hitting huge booters & drops, while still retaining the ability to slide hand rails & lap the piste.
