Metal Grip is an expoxy-P-Tex mix used to dress deep gouges in ski bases which have exposed the core, or gouges next to the ski or snowboard edge. It is applied ideally with a soldering iron such as the Kunzmann Base Doc II (See below) & becomes active at a lower heat, acting as a dressing before P-Tex application. When using we recommend strong ventilation due to the potency of the product, & also once applied, leave for a good period of time to ensure thorough adhesion. Once applied & dry, apply p-tex, & this should result in a much more permanent repair, protecting the core of your skis or board, & if near an edge offering enough adhesion to reduce weakness next to the edge.
