The reverse colour way of this year’s ID is definitely a bit of an eye catcher (the black & white are reversed from left to right boot), but its beauty is not skin deep. Scratch beneath the surface & you discover that no part of the ID had been overlooked in providing the best in performance & comfort. From the Dupont Surlyn Highback that drastically improves the boots durability to the super high quality Thermo Flex liner & New D-Lug outsole which cushions & cradles the feet. Specification: Thermo Flex Liners featuring Shell Fixation, Heel Harness & E-Lacing Dupont Surlyn Highbacks Waterproof Shell Construction Power Strap Section Control Lacing Pro Flex Construction Optional TPS shield D-Lug Outsole Flex: 5/10 (6 with TPS Medium, 7 with TPS Hard)
Features: Thermo Flex Liners are heat moulded to your feet. Unlike many other ‘fully mouldable’ boot liners that claim to mould using the heat of your feet alone, the Deeluxe thermo liners are heated using a specialist boot fitter’s oven, & achieve a genuinely custom fit. We recommend that all thermo liners are fitted either in store as part of our free boot fitting service, or at the very least heat moulded by a professional boot fitter for the optimum fit. Thermo Flex Liners feature a Heel Harness that wraps around your ankle, much like an ankle brace to provide firm, yet comfortable support within your liner. A Velcro shell fixation prevents the liner from moving within the shell, allowing for a consistent & strong fit every time you put your boots on. These liners have E-lacing, which is a super strong, low friction lacing system designed to be comfortable & secure. Dupont Surlyn Highbacks form the core material when constructing the boot. Adding this flexible, yet durable plastic to the back of the boot drastically improves responsiveness & durability. Combine the Surlyn highbacks with optional ‘TPS Shield’ for the ultimate performance driven stiff snowboard boot. Waterproof Construction by means of clever stitching & sandwich construction, water hasn’t got a chance. A Velcro Power Strap around the top of the boot ensures a secure fit right to the top of tongue. Section Control Lacing means that you can quickly adjust the tightness of the boot in three distinct zones (Forefoot, heel, calf). Toggle operated with a locking catch, they are super easy & fast to get dialed in for the perfect fit. Pro Flex provides the perfect blend of flex & stability. The flex zone in the joint area offers maximum support whilst eliminating bulging. TPS Shields are optional accessories. They are effectively a secondary boot tongue; available in medium or stiff flex options, which stiffen the boot, improving support & performance. The new D-Lug outsole is not just super light with low profile sneaker styling but it has numerous design features such as dual impact zones & independent lug suspension that improve cushioning & support. The ID is a fantastic boot & is aimed at all mountain freestyle riders. Don’t be put off by the ‘freestyle’ element if you don’t throw back flips at every opportunity, the mid-flex (with extra stiffness available by adding a TPS Shield) meets the needs of a wide ra
