A new ski for the 2015 season this is similar to the very popular Black Pearl, yet is narrower underfoot & so feels quicker in the turns & yet still solid on piste. Blizzard are a relatively new brand for us with last season being the first season that we stocked their range, however, having had the chance to get out on them at the ski test they are already a firm favourite of many of the staff & offer some great performing skis that sold really well & gained great feedback from our regular customers.  Although not as well known here in the UK as some other brands, Blizzard have utilized their flip core technology that gives them a great fun feel whilst still offering great edge hold. The Blizzard flipcore is a revolutionary rocker technology offering natural spring, lightweight flotation in powder & yet retaining excellent stability at low & high speeds.  The natural rocker shape is produced without having to bend or artificially shape the ski in a press, the end result is a new rockered construction hat reaches a new level of stability & even pressure distributer that is unheard of in Freeride ski construction. - see recommendations below Ski Profile Snow Conditions: All-Conditions Ski Terrain: On-Piste,   All Mountain Skier Level: Intermediate, Advanced With the Black pearl getting so many great reviews it was inevitable really that Blizzard would continue & expand this range.  With construction staying the same between the two of these the only difference is the waist.  Personally I would go for the Black Pearl as this, although 88 underfoot, still offers amazing edge grip & on piste performance & yet offers that increased versatility.  However if you are going to be sticking to piste & don’t want to go too wide then the Cheyenne would be the ideal choice & will certainly not let you down. Is this for me? For the good intermediate to advanced women skiers who spend a lot of time on piste & enjoy a really solid edge hold on the longer sweeping turns. An ideal ski for the intermediate skiers who are no getting confident on the blacks & are looking to progress onto a stiffer ski.  Utilizing the flipcore & full sidewall this cuts through crud & crust really well & feels very stable at high speeds.   SKI BINDING ADVICE: You will need a minimum 80mm brake width for this ski. For the aggressive advanced & expert freeride skier wanting a ski with awesome feedback & feel, with tonnes of rebound, ideal for steeps, drops & deep powder skiing.   This ski was a real handful at low speed, but at high speed it was a diffferent case. The skis changed character once up to speed & performed a lot better & proved to be very responsive. They coped well in any conditions that challenged them off piste. To get the best out of these skis you will have to be an expert skier & once you do youll love them!

- see recommendations below Ski Profile Snow Conditions: All-Conditions Ski Terrain: All Mountain, Off-Piste Skier Level: Advanced, Expert I was a huge fan of the Blizzard Bonafide that is 98mm underfoot but had not skied on the Cochise before. This is the slightly wider model at 108 underfoot & is a competitor to the very popular Volkl Gotama. Comparing the two i would say that this feels slightly lighter underfoot & so slightly more manoeuvrable, while the Volkl feel slightly more solid in chopped up snow, but this is nitpicking & I did really enjoy this ski. It felt very planted & stable & yet coped with whatever was thrown at it. It is at it best when skied hard & fast & so would really suit the advanced skier who is confident on the blacks & wants a little more width underfoot to cope playing off the sides when conditions allow. Is this for me? This is stiff & aggressive & designed for the advanced skiers who are confident on piste & enjoy going hard & fast, but would now like something that withholds the edge grip performance but offers greater versatility to cope with the new snow & playing off piste.     SKI BINDING ADVICE: You will need a minimum 110mm brake width for this ski. The Viva 600 FS IQ is a solid skier that does not tame itself down for women skier, & you need to expect the same solid performance that you get the from the men’s versions of the X-Power.  That being said, the Viva range do feature a standing position adjustment for full customization & they have made the cores slightly softer & lighter to accommodate the different skiing style that women have.  Having said that, with the full Woodcore, space frame technology & Full suspension integrated into the ski this is a ski designed for the advanced women’s skiers who want to push their ability & show up their partners! Is this for me? For the advanced to expert women skier who is looking for a solid, strong & responsive piste ski for tearing up the hardpack.  This is 72 underfoot & so is at its best when it is hard on an edge laying tram lines into perfect cordory.  A really nice ski to progress onto as you develop your skiing & want to take your performance up a level
