An incredibly popular powder ski for those that jump out of helicopters, or enjoy powder bowls in America, Canada & Japan & the back side of Chamonix. The Atomic Bent Chetler is for the true powder hungry skiers out there & you will often see this ski on the ski DVD’s of crazy guys jumping around in 6ft of powder so effortlessly that it makes you sick.  This is the fourth generation of the Bent Chetler & to improve stability & strength this year Atomic have added the Carbon SPBS.  This is designed in such a way that the stringers are laid into the wood core of the ski.  This really improves stability in the rockered area of the ski & stops the chattering on the harder snow but also increases the amount of pop you can get from these skis & so improves their playful nature. Although the Bent Chetler has a huge tip & tail rocker this ski still retains camber underfoot & does have an active carving edge which, for a wide powder ski makes it very versatile.  Thanks to its step down sidewall it has a very lightweight swing weight but also great edge hold underfoot.      SKI

Specification Geometry: 142mm-123mm-134mm Turn Radius:  19 Metres at 183cm Terrain: Powder (But surprisingly versatile!) Core

Material:
Woodcore Full Length With Carbon SPB Stringers running down the length of the ski Camber/ Rocker: Powder rocker, full rocker for maximum floar Technology: Step Down Sidewall to counteract the full rocker design giving grip on piste sections & boilerplate snow Bindings: Not Included.  We recommend the  Atomic FFG14 Bindings By Salomon   SKI FEATURES Step Down Sidewall Woodcore Carbon SPB: The hugely durable sidewall construction below the binding optimizes absorption & delivers reliable edge grip.  The combination of wood core & SPB (Sprocket Power Booster) in the Rocker area & ensures extremely smooth skiing.  The Carbon SPB allows for great dampening of vibrations, but also increase the pop you can get out of the tip & tail. Powder Rocker: This has full Rocker with the tip & tail lifted to improve float & powder performance, but with the remaining 40% underfoot cambered to improve edge hold & carving potential. Another epic powder ski from Atomic, this ski will provide you with effortless float & make powder skiing a breeze.  Very easy to spin on & pop off natural hits this is a true play thing that makes anybody want to get into the powder & play around.  This ski does have active camber & so can be carved on piste, but this is hard work & is really only there so you can get around to find the powder bowls.  With the introduction of the SPB’s into the Bent Chetlers this year you can really feel that they have stiffened up the nose & tail of this ski & this really does improve performance on harder snow.

The Atomic Bent Chetler with Carbon SPBs is the king of freeski models. In 2013-14 Chris Benchetler presents the latest generation of his Atomic ski: with a massive 123 mm waist width & two huge Powder Rockers in the tip & tail, the result is a sensationally light surf feeling in powder. Atomics exclusive Sprocket Power Boosters, which are lightweight carbon inserts in the front & rear rocker areas, make jumps even easier thanks to increased pop & increase the agility of the ski on challenging runs. The sensational graphics have, of course, once again been penned by Chris himself.

A really fun ski to ski on, really easy in powder, can be used on piste to get around, but mainly aimed at off piste skiing.  Would be a great ski for heading off to Canada or Japan & making use of their large back country or jumping out of helicopters.   Would ideally suit somebody as a second ski, part of their quiver   IS THIS SKI FOR ME? This is aimed at the advanced to expert off piste skiers who are looking for an out an out back country powder ski for deep snow.   SKI BINDING ADVICE: You will need a minimum 125mm brake width for this ski. You could go for a touring mode binding for this ski for increased versatility such as the Salomon Guardian, but most go for a durable standard binding such as the Atomic/ Salomon STH16 or a Marker Jester. You can always go wider for your brakes but dont be tempted to go narrower. View our bindings department.

Until now, high performance all-mountain skiers were forced to ski in painted race boots that offered no advantage to the skiers venturing off the groomed terrain. The Burner offers a true advantage & benefit to the skier seeking the best blend of all day comfort & high performance without compromise. The Key change for the Burner series this year is the introduction of Live Fit. It has been featured in past Atomic boots & received really well, so they have decided to roll it out across the range. A Live Fit zone is purposely placed on the lateral side of the boot to eliminate common “hot spots”, while the medial side remains solid for maximum power transfer & edge grip. The Burners party piece is its Enduro chassis, which raises the stand height of the boot by 5mm. which increases the leverage of the boot enabling the skier to easily ski some of the wider skis that are around today. It also has Skywalk rubber soles to give great hiking traction all over the mountain. The liner of the boot is Atomics ASY Pro T2. This boasts an asymmetrical shape for great anatomical fit & an Alcantara lining for comfort & warmth. It has a neoprene toe box for enhanced toe warmth & 4-way fit. The T2 liner is thermo formable in 2 sections which is the heel & fore foot which will give the liner a better all round fit.

Specification Buckles: RS Alu 6000 Buckles Liner: ASY Pro T2 Liner

Features:
35mm power strap, Skywalk rubber soles. The Live Fit is a great addition to a great boot. The boot has nice low volume feel around the heel & ankle area, that gives an excellent heel retention.
