The giant slalom powerhouse with Speedwall and Titanium. Predestined for extreme speeds and long turns on ice-covered extreme slopes. Technology Speedwall Modern racers spend more time on their sidewalls and edges than their bases. For the first time weve taken this development to its logical conclusion in two new Racetiger models. The innovation is that we view the sidewalls not just as lateral boundaries to the skis, but rather as a continuation of the surface that contacts the snow. Thats why we construct the new Speedwalls out of a proprietary composite sintered base material - SPEEDWALL sidewalls can be waxed and treated with the same products as the bases. For athletes that means less friction and more speed. Powered by Titanium The top-of-the-line models in the VÖLKL Alpine ski range boast a special wood core tuning system - all powered by titanium. The Salomon 24 Hours Max is a solid, stable, precise piste performance ski for medium to long radius turns with carve rocker and a semi-twin tail profile that make it playful and fun for the carver. The secret to the performance of the 24 Hours Max is the full woodcore with a sandwich sidewall construction - a classic carving design. Add to this a DOUBLE titanium laminate layer and you have a superbly lively ski with great rebound as you exit turns. The Carve Rocker profile still has plenty of underfoot camber but has the addiiton of tip rocker for perfect float in lighter piste snow. The semi twin tail design means the addition of a slight tail rocker to allow for easier release from turns. The 3D Race Frame profiling is a 3D shaped, double fibre construction with overshaped arms allows more flex performance without influencing ski to snow contact or terrain adaptation of sandwich constructions. Head World Cup skis are probably the most successful skis in the history of alpine skiing. For 2013 the iSL offers World Cup construction and KERS energy system for the closest ski to a true FIS model. With an 11.5 metre turning radius this ski is incredibly agile and thanks to the 66mm waist is extremely agile edge to edge. FEATURES AND BENEFITS KERS Technology: This works like a turbo charger that provides additional power and acceleration by stiffening the tail of the ski in outturns. The effect results in a subtle kick, pushing the skier into the next turn. Unlike Heads Intelligence fibres, KERS does not influence the torsional stiffness of the ski, but empowers the skis, longitudinal flex. This season they have integrated a brand new chip capable of accumulating power and keeping it stored for precisely the right moment. Intelligence Technology: Having a ski that can adapt to differing conditions, but also adapts to your own skiing style is something that everyone would benefit from but previously, unless you could afford custom skis, was rarely available. Over the last few years Head have been working on and improving their Intelligence technology which does just that. On hard-packed slopes you want perfect edge grip. On soft snow, you want more manoeuvrability. Breaking the slope record you want your ski to perform differently than when you’re just cruising with your friends or family. Heads Intelligence Technology uses fibres positioned in front of the binding to transform mechanical impulses into electrical energy. The harder you ride, the more energy is produced. This electrical energy is led back to the Intellifibers. This causes them to stiffen up, putting more rebound and torsional stiffness into the ski; this progressively stabilizes the entire ski at high speeds. SKI SPECIFICATION Geometry: 122mm / 66mm / 107mm (In 165cm length) Turn Radius: 11.5 metres average (In 165cm length) Core Construction: World Cup Wood Core Construction with Intellifibers Bases: Race Structured UHM C Bases Bindings: Freeflex Pro Bindings mounted on a Speedflex Plate SKI PROFILE Snow Conditions: Piste Ski Terrain: Piste Skier Level: Expert, Professional “Hold on tight with this one! Definitely for the aggressive carving skier, this ski is super nimble and extremely fast. The short turn radius is stunning allowing you to make super short ankle wrenching turns on command. The name says it all for this ski, designed for fast aggressive charging on piste this remains nimble and highly responsive allowing you to lay down flawless turns. We have stocked K2 since we started the business and with the range and quality of their skis it is easy to see why. Speak to any staff member and they own or would like to own at least one pair from the K2 range. This year K2 have kept their range of skis the same, but have concentrated on improving performance. They have done this by using a new comprehensive build process where a skis top shape is redesigned to complement the side profile along the entire ski. They have called this ‘Baseline 2.0’ and K2 has managed to engineer skis for varied skier types and even different styles of skiing, while also finely tuning them for a specific snow condition. For the Charger skis this season K2 have added the new Marker binding which utilizes the MX-cell technology. This features toe and heel technologies that focus on increased power transmission, the revolutionary XCell Piston technology in the toe piece keeps the boot catered during quick jolts and provides more precision and control in the centred position The Chargers are also using the Baseline2 Precision Piste construction. This uses a blunt round tip with a short abrupt rise to help maximise the skis running surface and extends the sidecut all the way to the tip, helping to drive the ski into the turn. This combined with the speed rocker provides effortless precision and agility. Mid-body the skis have a narrow waist and deep sidecut for quick transition form edge to edge and unshakeable hold for hard snow carving. They also have the highest amount of camber for optimal rebound, power and liveliness. Finally the blunt square tails extend the sidecut into the tail for hold throughout the entire turn. Kastle is a speciality ski manufacturer from Austria founded in 1924. Although not considered one of the major brands here in the UK if you head across to the Alps you will see a large number of these, and they are increasingly becoming popular by those that have found out Kastle’s well-constructed, stable, agile and incredibly versatile range of skis. One of Kastle’s main technological advantages is their patented hollowtech design system. This has been developed over the last 30yrs and means that the tip of each ski has oval-shaped cut-outs, leaving just a layer of opaque fibreglass this reduces the weight of each ski shovel by up to 15 percent. The decrease in mass helps the ski minimize vibrations and hold an edge more precisely. This coupled with using only the latest and best materials to construct their cores and their timeless clean graphics means that Kastle’s dedication to producing some of the world’s best skis will carry on for another season. The Kastle RX (Race Cross) 12 skis are outstanding in their class. These are new for the 2012/13 season and offer true on piste performance with unmatched running stability. Along with the Hollowtech technology at their tip they also have the Elliptical sidecut technology and these come with the Race Plates to offer excellent movement and grip underfoot when pushing these skis to the limit. With its narrow, carving waist width of 77mm, a speed-greedy metal reinforcement and grippy vertical sidewalls, the Blizzard magnum 7.7 Ti is a high-performing set up perfect for hard packed piste and suitable for good intermediate to advanced level skiers. The ski comes with a Marker Piston binding. The Suspension component of the IQ interface, available only in the 7.7, incorporates carbon-reinforced flex management arms that work in concert with an oil-filled piston underfoot to manage flex in a way that allows the ski to flex freely but calms vibrations quickly, especially reducing nose flapping so the ski is ready to engage and carve sooner in the new turn. The updated Magnum series is Blizzards offering of on piste cruisers with moderate waist widths appropriate to venture off into the soft stuff if the mood takes you. The Magnum 7.7 Ti also has a touch of rocker tip and tail - to ease transitions and absorb shocks. Ski Specification Profile: 123mm / 77mm / 107mm Turn Radius: 17.0m (167cm length) Core Construction: Sandwich Composite Titanium - Wood, Titanium Camber: Tip & Tail Rocker Bindings: Power 11 Bindings DIN 3 - 11. Features and Benefits IQ System IQ is a system that uses a track molded into the ski during manufacturing process. It is the only true fusion of skibody & binding-element. The natural performance & flex of the ski is not influenced by any mounting, drilling, screwing or glueing of seperate interfaces, elements or the binding it self. This gives the skis free flex curve, direct power transmission and a lightweight construction. Suspension Suspension technology is an active all mountain performance system, that provides maximum stability with excellent rebound energy as well as up to 10 times less vibration, more power and control from the ski, a improved edgegrip, more dynamics and less fatigue. Spaceframe 3D Spaceframe 3D is a special lightweight 3D reinforcement layer construction, that provides completely new dimensions in swingweight and torsional rigidity. Benfits being perfect balance and stability, reduced swingweight and the control of flexibility and stiffness. Sidewall Gives you better energy transmission, increased torsional stiffness and increased impact strength.
The giant slalom powerhouse with Speedwall and dual Titanal layers. Above and below the XTD Sensor Wood Core or XTD Wood Core, there is a layer of titanium reinforcing the ski and adding power and stability. The thin yet extremely strong aluminium alloy extends its unparalleled dampening properties particularly at high speeds. Sensorwood Core Like the Extended Sensorwood Core, the Sensorwood core is CNC milled using vertically laminated poplar and beech wood. SPECIFICATION Sidecut: 98mm-65mm-84mm Radius: > 27.0 Metres (193cm Length) Ski Core: Sensorwood Core Construction: Speedwall sidewalls Bindings: Flat Deck - No Bindings Included

A modern, frontside performance piste ski with precise edge control, high-speed stability and nimble handling. The RX easily handles all the piste can throw at it, and then some! For advanced and expert carvers. With the help of the HOLLOWTECH technology the ski‘s running characteristics is improved. The cutout section in the shovel leads to a reduced weight of the freely vibrating zone by almost 15 %. The resulting lower inertia moments optimize the retraction behavior of the ski. This means that after an impact the shovel returns much faster to the stable condition, enabling the ski to keep its track much more precisely. A bit wider than a classic carving ski the running surface is increased by about 6 %. This allows consistent edging on varying surfaces and when carving makes higher edge angles possible. The ELLIPTICAL RADIUS enables agile turns. The narrower turning radius in the shovel creates progressive steering characteristics. Only 5 –7 cm behind the contact point the sidecut merges with the shovel geometry. Precision and performance. A 45°aluminium bevel on the top sheet of the skis, distributes impacts and protects against mechanical wear. Head have taken their know-how for producing agile and fast piste skis, and have added era 3.0 to produce a ski that can cruise happily all day long, and yet put it on edge and it flies! The 005 is ideal for the skier wanting to progress their carving turns on piste A ski designed for the piste, with a slight increase in width to 70mm over a classic piste ski it can eat up changeable snow conditions on the piste, and excels on firmer pistes, when finding an edge can be difficult. With ERA 3.0 Technology, finding good edge hold is a breeze, as is turn initiation and exit. New ‘Diffusor’ technology further enhances the ride, with carefully placed ridges in the tail of the ski helping to drive power to the edges of the skis as you exit the turn, to give a little ‘speed boost’ This ski is a true confidence builder for the skier who wants to progress their carving without having to work the skis too hard. FEATURES AND BENEFITS ERA 3.0 takes 3 key technologies to combine them into one awesome skiing package: 1. ALLRIDE ROCKER A targeted amount of rocker is placed in each era 3.0 ski to compliment the radius of the ski, to ensure maximum performance for all ability levels. Steering is easier for all skiers and soft snow versatility is enhanced. 2. PROGRESSIVE RADIUS Regular rocker makes skiers place their ski further on edge to get the full edge length from tip-to-tail. With Head’s progressive radius, up to 50% less angulation is required to enjoy full edge contact. More edge on the snow means more edge grip. 3. INTELLIRISE REBOUND Head have moved their legendary piezoelectric Intellifibers to the tip of the skis. The nasty tip vibrations found on regular rockers are not found here. These skis are too smart for that. SKI SPECIFICATION Geometry: 125mm / 70mm / 109mm (In 170cm length) Turn Radius: 13.2 metres average (In 180cm length) Core Construction: Power Carbon Jacket Construction with Intellifibers, Diffusor tail Bases: Structured UHM C Bases Bindings: Head PR 11 Bindings Mounted on a Powerail integrated system SKI PROFILE Snow Conditions: Groomed Pistes, Unprepared Pistes Ski Terrain: Pistes Skier Level: Progressing Beginners, Intermediates Ideal for the skier wanting to progress their technique without risking their confidence! era 3.0 technology works, and on this ski it means easy turn entry and exit combined with stunning edge hold. At 70mm underfoot this ski is your classic piste ski, but with the extra couple of mm in the width, tail and shovel it managed the slush that hit us around mid-day just fine. IS IT FOR ME? For the progressing skier looking for an all conditions ski that has superb edge hold and ride characteristic for moving down the piste with style

Head World Cup skis are probably the most successful skis in the history of alpine skiing. For 2013 the iSL offers World Cup construction and KERS energy system for the closest ski to a true FIS model. With an 18 metre turning radius this ski is built for the downhill ski carver who wants to make beautiful wide arcing turns with agility edge-to-edge Features and benefits KERS Technology: This works like a turbo charger that provides additional power and acceleration by stiffening the tail of the ski in outturns. SKI SPECIFICATION Geometry: 112mm / 66mm / 94mm (In 170cm length) Turn Radius: 18 metres average (In 180cm length) Core Construction: World Cup Wood Core Construction with Intellifibers Bases: Race Structured UHM C Bases Bindings: Freeflex Pro Bindings mounted on a Speedflex Plate SKI PROFILE Snow Conditions: Piste Ski Terrain: Piste Skier Level: Expert, Professional Hold on tight with this one! Definitely for the aggressive wide piste carver looking for maximum descent speed. The wider radius allows you to open the turns and just point downhill. A beautiful ski when put under the feet of an expert descender. IS IT FOR ME? For the expert carving skier or ex-pro looking for a long radius ski for blasting down pistes at maximum speed.
