The unit comes complete with a lockable inspection/cleaning hatch and a long perch which is demountable for ease of transport. Siting: The box should be installed using strong fixings such as coach bolts on the trunk of a large tree, in woodland, a copse or stand of trees, preferably close to branches to offer easy access to tree canopy to exiting chicks. or in a mature tree in hedgerow.
