This attractive Butterfly Habitat combines a safe over wintering & interative habitat with a central feed station. The central feed sponge can be charged with a sugar/water solution to encourage & help butterflies or it can be soaked with Butterfly Attractant to encourage colourful butterflies (with the exception of the Cabbage White) to the feed station/habitat
Butterflies will use the house for roosting. The following may also use the house for hibernating: Small Tortoiseshell, Peacock (often found in sheds & outbuildings) & the Comma Butterfly. Less commonly, the Silver Winged Fritillary may use the box to lay eggs (preferably sited in mature trees) The chrysalis could be formed on the roof or internal branches.
