A grow your own wine rack kit to delight any DIY, gardening, or wine enthusiast. An innovative, exciting new product created by artist & designer Lois Walpole after four years of research, this kit is part of a collection developed at Royal Botanial Gardens, Kew, which involves ""the growing of functional wooden domestic products out of willow"". Easy to grow & maintain, the wine rack is a fantastic talking point & will brighten up any patio or garden. You make the wine rack by tethering together 22 lengths of willow. It takes two to three years before the growing willow grafts together & it can be harvested & brought indoors, to hold up to 10 bottles. Plant it either in a container or in the ground, in a location of your choice. The wine rack is an excellent way to encourage local biodiversity & the willow will look good all year round, having catkins in the spring, abundant greenery in the summer & colourful bark in the winter. Kit contains 22 lengths of willow, cut to size & 16 meters of tube tie. You will need to provide some other basic tools & materials. Size of packaging when posted:130 x 20 x 20cm, weight 2 Kg. You can order a grow your own wine rack kit any time, but as a seasonal product we are only able to send them out from December to March. Last orders for the kits must be placed before 10th March.
