Depending on the construction of your house there can be range issues. It is mainly a problem for new build houses where foil insulation is used between internal walls, & also an issue for very thick walls. If you are able to use a wireless internet network in your house then you should generally be able to get a good signal from this device. Most video/sound transmission problems can be fixed by resetting the sender & receiver boxes as described above & turning them on in the correct order (sender first, then receiver).
