Thunderous noise, churning water, rapids all around you
- some serious teamwork is vital to get you through it all. This is the unbelievable thrill of white water rafting. You can raft on man-made rapids, which are guaranteed to give you lots of white water excitement! Alternatively you can try white water rafting in the Scottish Highlands or Welsh mountains where you will enjoy the excitement of this sport in beautiful, unspoilt surroundings. Programme For natural rapids, white water rafting is dependent on water levels & therefore can only run if the water is high enough. We ensure that you have a thorough safety briefing & that you are professionally looked after by a qualified instructor. Then you enjoy travelling down river on the raft. For man made rapids, the session begins with a safety talk & tuition to perfect your paddling technique. Then, under the guidance of your qualified instructor, you & the rest of the group will travel in an inflatable raft up to 5 times in this 2 hour session. This is an activity of sheer excitement
- you will love it, although you are bound to get very, very wet! Programmes & timings may vary according to location. Duration Your experience lasts Approx. 2 hours at man made venues & 2 to 312; hours at the natural. Group Therell be a maximum of six others on the raft with you. Spectators Youre welcome to bring along family & friends to watch you. Fitness Please advise if you have a medical condition that may affect this activity. This activity is not always suitable for contact lenses or glasses wearers. Participants need to be reasonably fit. The maximum weight is 95kg (15 stone). No pregnant clients. Experience You must be able to swim at least 50 metres or be confident of being in water. Minimum Age The minimum age is 18 years old.
